The welcomes all. It is a space of care, creativity, and connection, serving as a literary hub and community archive for Black women’s stories. Founded in 2015 by Ola Ronke, who saw a need for inclusive “third spaces” in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, the library invites visitors to “read, write, work, rest, dream, and learn in this space.” It has since become a cherished place for both longtime locals and newcomers.
