A small dog almost didn’t make it home, and a plane full of passengers ended up clapping for the pilot who saved him.

An Air Canada flight from Tel Aviv to Toronto was cruising when the crew spotted a problem with a heater in the cargo hold.

Inside that hold was a 7-year-old French bulldog named Simba.

At high altitude, the temperature can drop fast. The captain decided it was not safe to cross the Atlantic.

He diverted to Frankfurt so Simba could be moved to another aircraft with proper heating.

The delay was about 75 minutes. Passengers later said the choice felt obvious once they knew why.

Many on board applauded. A few teared up. It was a simple act that meant a life was protected.

Air Canada backed the decision, calling the captain’s concern for the animal appropriate and professional.

Simba was reunited with his owner in Toronto. The flight landed late, but the mood was light. Kindness had set the tone.

I'm Riko, and this is my little brother Max. We were found abandoned in a soggy cardboard box on the side of the road, shaking from the cold and aching with hunger.
People saw us. Some paused. Some stared. But none stopped to help. Every time we heard footsteps, we got excited, wagging our tails, silently begging for love.
But they always walked away.
Maybe they saw Max’s limp and thought he wasn’t worth the effort. Maybe my scar scared them away. Whatever the reason, no one chose us.
So we held on to each other, and to a tiny piece of hope.

I took two bullets while trying to save my owner from the thieves.
I didn’t think of fear — I just saw the gun pointed at him and ran with all my strength.
I heard the shots, felt the pain, but my heart didn’t stop — I had to protect him.
They took me to the vet and performed a long surgery…
The operation was successful, but I haven’t woken up yet. My body lies still, breathing weakly, as if fighting in silence.

She was hiding among the branches, curled up in a box too fragile to face the world. That's where she protected her puppies, holding them close to her, exhausted but determined. He has no home, no possessions to call his own, and sleeps beneath the open sky. Yet, wherever he goes, a quiet parade of stray dogs follows close behind.

At first, we were puzzled why did so many homeless animals seem drawn to this one man? But the answer soon revealed itself.

Locals told us, "He feeds them every day. Whatever little food he receives, he offers to the dogs first."

Though he lives with empty pockets, his heart overflows with compassion. In a world that often turns away, he chooses to give not out of abundance, but out of love. These dogs, once forgotten by society, have found in him not just a friend, but family.

He has nothing and yet, in the ways that truly matter, he has everything.

A gentle reminder: those who possess the least often give the most. And sometimes, the richest souls are found in the humblest of places.
