Released in 1988, BAMBOLEO found the Fania All Stars exploring new musical territory.

The album reimagines songs by the Gipsy Kings, alongside interpretations of Sade's "Smooth Operator" and Stevie Wonder's "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing." It also features Celia Cruz's rendition of "Bamboleo," Willie Colón's "Quiero Saber," and "Siento"—Héctor Lavoe's final studio recording.

Now newly remastered and available in Hi-Res Audio for the first time.
Stream Bamboleo wherever you listen. 👇

Here's a piece of salsa history that doesn't get talked about enough.

Before Fania, there was Alegre Records.

Founded by Al Santiago in NY, the label became home to recordings by Johnny Pacheco, Eddie Palmieri, Charlie Palmieri, Pete Rodríguez, the Alegre All Stars, and more, helping shape one of the most influential catalogs in Latin music.

These are just three iconic covers from Alegre's 70-year history.

1. Javier Vazquez y su Salsa - Síguelo
2. Pacheco y su Charanga - El Agua del Clavelito
3. Louie Ramirez and his Conjunto Changó - Chin Chon Chow

Before Chamaco Ramírez went solo on Alive and Kicking, he was the voice you heard on Tommy Olivencia's Planté Bandera — the 1975 record that gave us "Trucutu" and "Evelio y la rumba."

Still in stock on vinyl, plus the tee. Grab it while you wait on your Alive and Kicking pre-order.
