another day. another book.
another time you carry more than you can hold just to feel less alone.

you thought you were losing them.
but look closer.

you were losing yourself every time you begged to stay where you weren't chosen.

this is for the chapter where you come back.

link in bio.

You know you're still attached when their silence can change your entire day.
One message can lift you.
One hour without a reply can make you anxious.
Then you tell yourself you're “just overthinking.”
You're not just waiting for a text.
You're waiting for reassurance.
And that's when you need to ask:
Why does someone else's attention have so much power over my inner world?

There is a moment in healing when you stop asking:

“What are they thinking?”

“Will they come back?”

“Do they still care?”

And you finally ask:

“What is happening to me while I'm waiting for them?”

That's a different kind of question.

Give me the ilage that discrobe this : I still live in the memories you abandoned.

You left in a hurry, you know. You forgot your sweater on my chair, your coffee half-finished, and all your promises in the air.

I didn't clean them up. I thought if I left everything exactly how it was, you would have a reason to come back.

It took me months to understand: some people don't leave places. They leave people. And you had left me long before you walked out the door.

So today, I finally washed the cup. I folded the sweater. I opened the windows.

You never came back. But the air did.

She met him on a rainy Tuesday.

He was inconsistent, charming, distant then obsessed. And she — she was the girl who thought love had to be earned.

So when he pulled away, she chased.
When he went cold, she made herself smaller, sweeter, easier to love.
When he texted at 2am after 3 days of silence, her heart jumped like she won something.
She called it chemistry.
It was anxiety.

She called it love.
It was her inner child whispering: "If you try harder this time, he will stay."

For months she lived on crumbs and called it a feast. She memorized his moods like a full-time job. She lost sleep, lost appetite, lost herself, trying not to lose him.

Until one night, she wrote in her journal:

"I am not missing him. I am missing who I was before I started begging to be loved."
That night she understood what I wrote on page 112 of my book "You Were Never Losing Them. You Were Losing Yourself."

Attachment feels like love when you never had safe love before.
But love doesn't make you anxious. Love doesn't make you beg. Love doesn't leave you checking your phone at 3am.

We were never a love story.
We were two wounds holding each other, calling it home.

Have you ever lived an attachment story and called it love? I read every comment.
