On Friday, flash flooding caused catastrophic damage in Texas Hill Country, a region of Central and South Texas, killing at least 104 people. As of Monday evening, at least 41 people are still missing, and rescue operations remain underway. The majority of the fatalities occurred in Kerr County, where 84 deaths have been reported.

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been found guilty on two counts of prostitution related charges, but was acquitted on the three most serious charges.

He was found guilty on two counts of transportation for prostitution, which carries up to 10 years in prison. However, he was acquitted on the racketeering and s*x trafficking charges. Had he been found guilty on all counts, he could have faced life in prison.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was officially shut down on Tuesday after drawing attention from the Department of Governmental Efficiency for months.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio argued that it funded programs that did not support American interests and that it had been inefficient with taxpayer money. On the other hand, many supporters have pointed to studies that claim it has saved millions of lives.

BREAKING: Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) will not seek reelection in 2026. Over the past two days, President Trump has directed much of his ire at the senator and even threatened a primary challenge over Tillis voting against proceeding with the “One Big, Beautiful Bill.” Tillis’s seat has been considered one of the most vulnerable for Democrats to flip in the upcoming midterm elections.

“As many of my colleagues have noticed over the last year, and at times even joked about, I haven’t exactly been excited about running for another term. That is true since the choice is between spending another six years navigating the political theatre and partisan gridlock in Washington or spending that time with the love of my life Susan, our two children, three beautiful grandchildren, and the rest of our extended family back home. It’s not a hard choice, and I will not be seeking re-election,” said Senator Tillis in part of his statement.
