Beats & Breakfast is back. 🍳🎶
Good food. Dope beats. Real creative energy.

Pull up Sunday afternoon for breakfast, music, and community at The Pub @ EAV.

Chef Sam and Chef Mel are cooking up breakfast hits, buffet style.

Ciz is hosting, and Creative Space’s own Smart Boy Beatz has the featured set. Fuse, VP of 808 Mafia and CEO of Fuse University, is joining us as the featured guest. Lowkey, he’s really coming for the food. 👀

Producers, bring that heat for Plug Plug Pass. Sign up when you get there for a chance to run your record for the room. We’re gonna get to as many people as we can, but playback isn’t guaranteed.

Come eat, tap in, hear some fire, meet some people, and catch the kind of energy that happens when the right creatives get in the same room.

Come eat. Bring heat. Tap in.

Keep sending me reactions. I'm reposting everything tonight.

Promises is out now.

If it hit you, save it, share it, and send it to somebody who'd understand it.

This one is bigger than music.

Promises is out now.

For family. For memory. For North Philly. For every sacrifice that made me who I am.

Your sacrifices won't be wasted. I promise.

Promises is out now.

This record is personal. Family, memory, North Philly, sacrifice, and the people who shaped me before the music.

Your sacrifices won't be wasted. I promise.

Every photo has a story.

This one is Ced and me.

Ced, aka Ghost, is my big cousin, but more like an older brother. Me, him, and Shaquinna grew up together on Cleveland St in North Philly.

Years later, Ghost and T started YBME, the first label I was ever signed to. They helped give me one of my first real shots at recording music and reminded me that my story was bigger than what I had already been through.

Some people don’t just show up in your life.

They redirect it.

Every photo has a story.

This one is Mommy and me.

My mom was born and raised in North Philly. I was born there too.

She was 16 years, 8 months, and 1 day old when she had me, and still found a way to go to college, work jobs, take me with her some days, and make sure I had educational opportunities.

Before I understood sacrifice, I was watching it.

Before I understood discipline, I was being raised by it.

Your sacrifices won’t be wasted. I promise.

Every photo has a story.

Uncle Mike was the first DJ I ever met.

Before I knew studios, stages, or the business, I knew what it felt like to be in a room where the music was right.

His record collection kept us entertained for hours. Funk, soul, disco, R&B. Gap Band. Earth, Wind & Fire. September. Chic. The kind of records that made the whole house feel alive.

And he had swag. OG swag. Leather jacket, rings, posture, presence. The kind you can’t fake.

He was Aunt Boo’s husband, but to me, he was one of the first people who showed me how powerful music could be.

I’m grateful I got to tell him how much he shaped my path before he passed.

Rest well, Michael Butler.

I’ll keep the good music going.

Promise.
