I was on cloud nine when I beat out hundreds of applicants to land the assistant role for the head designer at the top firm in town. But my dream job? It turned into a nightmare before lunch on day one.

The manager took one look at me, head to toe, and decided I was the new cleaner. Ignoring my protests, she dragged me to the supply closet to show me the cleaning supplies. When she realized I was actually the new assistant, her jaw practically hit the floor.

But meeting my boss was worse. His first words? "Did HR see you before they hired you?" I froze, stunned. From that moment on, he and the team made me their favorite topic of cruel jokes—my weight, my looks, even my clothes. It felt like I was back in high school, facing the mean girls all over again.

The tipping point came when they started treating me like I didn't exist. My ideas were dismissed with laughter, and my presence was completely ignored.

My boss was happy to support these mockeries, unaware that soon enough I would take his place.🤯👇
