A SPECIAL NOTE FROM ROBIN RICHIE:
The IMAGINE THAT! With Robin Richie brand began as a multimedia arts and entertainment weekly cable television local programming series making its' debut 28 seasons ago on Cablevision in Northern New Jersey and subsequently my hometown of New York City. Eventually, I converted the former original cable series into an online podcast that still exists today.
My journey began as an interdisciplinary producing and performing artist of 4.5+ decades when my career aspirations to become an entertainer were cemented 'from the crib' of a long ago Sugar Hill, Harlem apartment. The God-given gifts stamped within my DNA have ultimately always been utilized to provide transformative experiences for audiences. People change. Venues change. But, the mission has never changed. Make them FEEL IT (whatever 'it' is) through every fiber of their being - enough to TAKE ACTION and SAVOR the memory for a lifetime!
As a visual artist, no matter the canvas, platform, space or project, ALL are primed and prepped by God's grace first and foremost before I begin. The tribute reels have become yet another extension of artistic expression for IMAGINE THAT! With Robin Richie. Many are designed to pay homage to those who have impacted me either professionally and often personally.
Whether it's 'The King of Pop', 'The Queen of Soul', 'The Queen of Rock and Roll', or 'The Duke of Ellington' (giggle), each is hand/heart crafted with a great deal of research, time, and intentionality intertwined. Every image, special effect, and nuance is placed specifically without the use of artificially programming. I realize that to some, that might be a bit antiquated. It is solely based upon preference (I am a 'tech geek' low key at heart). However, as a creative 'influencer' with classic values in modern times, my aim will always be to provide a final result that is sophisticated, authentic, and uncompromised that technology just can't offer without altering the mosaic of reality. Younger generations deserve to be introduced to the cinderblocks of legacy who have paved the way for them who didn't have the luxury of shortcuts.
To everyone reading this, thank you for your engagement. Stay blessed and epic in your own intriguing way!
In appreciation,
