🥓 How did you get into your work?⠀
🥓 Honestly, I wanted to go into print . I took an at a small in their department thinking it was a foot in the door. But that is where I quickly realized digital was the future of the industry. I left that agency and moved onto a digitally focused which was the foundation and of my skill-set. From there I pivoted into working at an (MediaPlex). Really enjoying my work, and , I was learning more about the industry and the behind it. This was around the time RTB (real time bidding) was a hot topic and all these new companies were emerging. It was all very exciting. So I decided to take the leap and accept a role at a DSP (MediaMath), where I worked as a Director of Client Services for 4 years, managing a team of 10 and a large book of business. Wanting to learn more about , I made a conscious effort to leave and explore the sell side of the business by accepting a role at PubMatic. My role was similar, however, as my clients were publishers instead of agencies and brands, and my was smaller. I really enjoyed understanding both sides of the business and giving publisher perspective on how are buying and what they care about. After being towards the end of 2016, I fell into freelancing for a few agencies and publishers while I was trying to figure out my next move. Enjoying the work I was doing, without the company and the impact I was having on these businesses was very rewarding and satisfying. That is when I decided to do this full time and onboard more clients, establish a and grow. It was the best decision of my life. I am able to do what I enjoy, have a positive impact on companies that need our expertise without paying a big agency while also having the flexibility to be a working . Two years later and I haven't been this with work in a long time.

👽What’s the weirdest thing that has happened to you since focusing on your passion? ⠀
👽Where to begin? It’s hard to recount the weird and strange things you encounter when you’re . Strange foods, charades that you play when you don’t speak the native tongue of a place your visiting but your desperate to communicate, the embarrassing things that happen constantly that you have to just laugh about and keep moving because who really cares? Weird is a relative term, and I’ve heard I’m a pretty big weirdo myself. I’m rarely surprised or weirded out by much! Usually I’m infinitely .⠀
🥓 How did you get into your work?⠀
🥓 My mom always as I was growing up, and she had us on planes before I was a year old, to Puerto Rico to see family, to Venezuela to spend the summer, to getting home schooled in Portugal for awhile. We were a traveling family. My job at CGC offers me a chance to use my degrees and to pursue a career while also offering the ability to all the time. It’s a perfect storm that has created an environment where I can thrive and be constantly challenged.⠀
✨Who / what are some sources of inspiration? ⠀

✌️What social stigma does society need to get over? ⠀
✌️That women must have a man and be with children after a certain age. I get asked constantly when I’ll slow down and settle down. As nice as that would be, my thirst to explore and move and conquer new things hasn’t been satisfied yet, and I can’t see myself settling anywhere for awhile.⠀⠀ ⠀

👽What’s the weirdest thing that has happened to you since focusing on your passion? ⠀
👽When I first started studying , I was pretty positive I was the only one in my family with that interest. I come from a family of doctors and highly educated individuals and I always worried what they might think. I studied for 10 years before finally feeling brave enough to begin posting astrology videos on my page. Immediately, my family started watching and commenting and they were all very supportive. I also received comments from one of my cousin's friends and discovered that she had studied astrology for years too. My big surprise came when my cousin commented on our back and forth on one of my videos and let me know that this "friend" of hers was actually a part of our family too. I had an extended family member who was an astrology veteran and I never even knew!⠀

🥓 How did you get into your work?⠀
🥓 I was studying for my bachelor's degrees ( and ) when I first started getting into . I would look every day for my daily and see what was coming up. As I interacted more and more with the website I was visiting, I started seeing information about Rising signs, Moon signs, aspects, in the , house rulers, and more. I realized that astrology was a lot more complicated than just one sign and I started to obsessively research everything I could about reading a birth chart. I cast a wide variety of charts in order to learn as much as possible and recruited my friends, family, and celebrity charts so I could learn more. I soon moved on to learning about progressed charts, solar returns, composite charts, and more and I would engage others in astrological discussion whenever I could. I would read charts at social gatherings and in my spare time in order to learn. After about 10 years of self-taught study, I finally started offering astrological services online.⠀

🥓 How did you get into your work?⠀
🥓 I was working in the film industry (having studied film) and it just wasn’t what I was hoping it would be. I joined a band for fun and it soon became the thing that was taking up all my time - including time away from work to go on tour and play shows. A friend of mine was shooting for Airbnb and suggested it as a freelance type job that I could do and support my of having to leave town every other month. From there, I just met realtors, interior designers, and other sorts of clients and expanded my network while working as hard as I could and learning every step of the way. ⠀

✨Who / what are some sources of inspiration? ⠀
✨Since this is an Instagram interview (an instaview?) I guess I should namedrop some of my favorite accounts I follow. does some fascinating things with architectural photography and does some fascinating things with photoshop. I also adore the in Dwell, which seems to be a bit trendsetter in my industry. ⠀

🔊 Favorite podcasts? ⠀
🔊 Doughboys and Podcast The Ride are two podcasts that have nothing to do with photography but I probably spend more of my day in between shoots than I do shooting, and listening to music can only get me so far when I’m in a stalling under the east river. I’ve listened to some podcasts about photography but I’ve yet to hear something about visuals work so well in an audio-only format. ⠀

💼 What are you currently working on? ⠀
💼 I’ve been shooting a lot more restaurants these days which I just adore. I’m big into food so to be able to work around it just makes my day that much better. There’s also some really interesting architecture that you can’t really pull off in a residential space. I’m a fan of Parts and Labor (an interior design firm based here in NYC) and have been fortunate enough to shoot some of their spaces and it’s such a pleasure to be in awe of something you’re shooting. It really gives my job purpose and makes me feel so fortunate to be doing what I do. ⠀

Nick Bliesner is a Mathematics Tutor based in Renton, Washington.⠀

👽 What’s the weirdest thing that has happened to you since focusing on your passion? ⠀
👽 That weirdest thing that has happened to me since I have been able to focus on helping others learn math would probably be the daily epiphanies I have when helping students. It amazes me to this day how much I knew before I started tutoring as a side hobby and what student's questions and inquiries have taught me. Iv'e learned that even though you think you may have learned everything on a subject there's always room to learn more. Especially since everyone learns differently, I've learned overtime to find all the various ways to frame topics for students and see subject matter from perspectives I didn't even think about as a student!⠀
⠀
🥓 How did you get into your work?⠀
🥓 I got into my work purely out of a passion for mathematics. After taking my first Calculus course in high school I was hooked, I realized that Math is something I'm really passionate about and love to do in my spare time. Once I started college at the University of Washington I wanted to find a way to spread my passion for math with others and at the same time help students to have good experiences in their math classes as well. So at the beginning of my second quarter at the university I applied through the math department to become a tutor and Iv'e been tutoring students in college math classes ever since loving every second of it.⠀

💼 What are you currently working on? ⠀
💼 Besides tutoring I'm currently a Senior at the University studying Computer Engineering. I've had the pleasure of being able to apply my love of problem solving and math to some pretty neat projects including helping develop a Virtual Reality film for the Oculus Rift, creating an on computer file search engine, and developing a simple operating system.⠀

Kristiana Tarnuzzer is the founder of The Cause Bar () based in Los Angeles, CA.⠀

✨Who / what are some sources of inspiration? ⠀
ASIDE FROM the creative spirits I'm surrounded by daily here in Los Angeles, I'd definitely say other entrepreneurs, social good change makers, other moms juggling work and life, and travel...travel forces me to detox, mentally step away, see different cultures/people/places and THAT is inspiration - it's for this reason, I always have a trip lined up and always return with multiple ideas of what's coming next in my life!⠀

📲 Favorite apps? ⠀
1) HEADSPACE - I've recently committed to dedicating 15 minutes every morning to starting my day with breathing and meditation. I'm not very good just yet at meditating on my own, so this guidance has been tremendously helpful in getting me there!⠀

2) INLIEU - We get stressed about what to give as birthday, holiday, host/hostess gifts, when really, we could be giving a much more meaningful donation to a cause that person supports - easy and meaningful! ⠀

🔊Favorite podcasts? ⠀
YOU ARE A BADASS by Jen Sincero. She's real and I like that ⠀

✌️What social stigma does society need to get over? ⠀
FOR MOMS in particular, it would be that we have to be perfect and have it together all of the time. And if you think anyone does, social media is just really good at portraying that - we are WAY too hard on ourselves, and need to support ourselves with an environment or real support, not judgement. What we think we fail at or are bad at, I promise you, millions of other moms have been there and can relate! ⠀

💼What are you currently working on? ⠀
THE RELAUNCH of The Cause Bar's new brand, website, email - everything! So excited to have a team of amazingly talented people in place taking the brand to the next level, all with the intention of spreading light and awareness around social good causes, change makers and brands. Excited for what's ahead!
