The Corvette Grand Sport is back for 2027, and it brings serious hardware.

Chevrolet just revealed two new variants: the rear-wheel-drive Grand Sport with a brand new 6.7L LS6 V8 producing 535 hp, and the all-new Grand Sport X that adds eAWD and a front electric motor for a combined 721 horsepower.

Both cars sit between the Stingray and Z06 in the lineup, but with this new engine and the Grand Sport X's ZR1X-borrowed AWD system, they're closer to the Z06 than ever before.

Since 2021, Dominic Marcu has been doing something most people said couldn't be done — winning hillclimb stages in a Tesla Model S Plaid.

Not a purpose-built race car. A 4,800 lb (2,177 kg) luxury sedan with 1,020 hp, Unplugged Performance suspension, forged wheels, spherical bushings, and Ohlins coilovers.

He's taken category wins and podiums at Sinaia, Râșnov, Transalpina, and Reșița. The crowds that came to watch out of curiosity stayed to cheer.

The same hardware Unplugged Performance proved at Pikes Peak — sub-10 minute run, modified EV record, top 10 out of 66 drivers — is what keeps Dominic competitive on Romanian mountain roads.

Tesla confirmed the end of Model S and Model X production on its Q4 2025 earnings call. The Fremont factory lines are being retooled for Optimus robot production. No automotive replacements are planned.

For the aftermarket, that creates an interesting moment. A large installed base of S and X owners, more used inventory coming to market, and longer ownership cycles ahead. The demand for serious, long-term upgrades for these platforms is not going away.

Unplugged Performance just addressed a real gap in that space: the UP-RW FF Road Warrior is the first Road Warrior wheel available for Model S and Model X. 19-inch square fitment enabling front-to-rear tire rotation, aero-tested disc design validated to within 0.010 Cd of Tesla's own Photon Aero wheel, 2,095 lb (950 kg) load rating per wheel, lifetime structural warranty, and replaceable curb guard rings. Compatible with all four Tesla models.

Preorder pricing runs at $1,595 for a set of four through April 6, with MSRP moving to $1,835 after that.

The Lamborghini Revuelto already makes 1,001 hp from the factory. Now NOVITEC looked at that number and decided it needed work.
