The example of Jehoash teaches us that true faith must be personal and deeply rooted. Jehoash relied on the spiritual guidance of Jehoiada, but once that support was gone, he fell into apostasy. This shows that we cannot depend solely on others—like family or fellow Christians—for our spirituality. Instead, we must build our own strong relationship with God through regular Bible study, meditation, and prayer. As Ecclesiastes 12:13 reminds us, fearing God and obeying His commandments is our core responsibility. When we do this, we’ll stay spiritually strong and faithful, no matter what trials come.
