We made some more progress today. I wanted to
share some more pictures as well as give a
detailed description of how I did the faux finish. I
still need to fix the finish in a few places, I got
better at it the more I did.
We first cleaned with krud kutter, then did a light
scuff sand with 220 grit sandpaper. We did use a
paint sprayer to spray everything, ceilings, walls
and cabinets. First we applied zinnsner primer,
then we painted a coat of sw antler velvet semi
gloss on everything that would get faux finished.
After that was dry I applied Rustoleum Java glaze
over the antler velvet. The key here is to have a
variety of brushes. There are several videos on
YouTube, search for pottery barn finish.
