TIP TUESDAY:
What You Eat and Take Matters
Now that we’re in daylight savings time and it’s getting darker sooner, your body might be missing sunlight more than you realize.
Last week we talked about seasonal depression and how it can quietly affect your mood when the days get shorter.
This week, I want to talk about what’s happening inside your body and how a few simple changes can make you feel like yourself again.
Every year around this time, I notice the shift. The clocks change, the light fades earlier, and my energy feels different.
It’s not just in your head. When sunlight drops, your serotonin and vitamin D levels drop too. That’s why you might feel sluggish, crave more carbs, or lose motivation.
I started noticing it a few years ago, and instead of pushing through, I decided to listen to my body.
I added vitamin D3 for sunlight support, magnesium glycinate for calm and better sleep, omega-3s for balance and focus, and vitamin B12 for energy.
I also started eating more salmon, eggs, spinach, kale from my garden, dark chocolate, and berries. And every night, I end my day with a soothing cup of tea.
Within a few weeks, my mood lifted. My energy came back. I felt like myself again.
That’s when I realized peace doesn’t just happen. You have to nourish it.
Save this for your next gray day and share it with someone who’s been feeling off lately. A few small changes can make all the difference. 🌤️
