What if an animal could turn back its biological clock? 🪼

Meet Turritopsis dohrnii, often called the “immortal jellyfish.”

When faced with extreme stress or damage, this tiny creature can revert from its adult stage back toward an earlier life stage — essentially restarting part of its life cycle.

It doesn't mean the jellyfish can never die. But its ability to reverse its development is one of the strangest biological tricks known in the animal world.

And that leaves us with an incredible question:

In the middle of Nevada’s desert, there’s a water-filled cave that looks almost ordinary from the surface.
But Devils Hole is anything but ordinary.
Its water stays around 93°F, and the cave extends more than 500 feet deep. It is also the only natural habitat of the Devils Hole pupfish, a tiny fish found nowhere else on Earth.
And then there’s the part that keeps this place fascinating:
What is actually down there?
Much of Devils Hole remains hidden beneath the surface.
A desert landscape.
A dark opening.
A unique fish.
And a depth you can’t simply see from above.
