Five years ago I withdrew from the industry I had been part of for two decades, to work on a major new project, inspired by my desire to make a more significant contribution to the media industry in the field of apparel and arts, with a strong link to visuals and aesthetics.
Following the death of my sister Antonella, I needed time to grieve and regain my emotional balance. I longed for a new point of reference that would help me embrace my vision, my innate love of hard work, and my sense of aesthetics.
That’s when I met one of my lifelong myths: Roberto Menichetti. I had admired him throughout my career and my professional life. Roberto was working in solitude in Los Angeles, preparing to launch the most extraordinary line dedicated to the outdoor world. I was trying to revolutionise the way aesthetics are communicated in the apparel and arts world. Both of us were trying to overcome inner pain from different scars.
A couple of years into our professional collaboration, I had the opportunity to create a magical match between of the the only unspoiled brands remaining in the fashion world, and the purest, most visionary of creative directors. I worked to develop a strong business plan - a journey to undertake together with James Fayed, an enlightened mind also in need of a “home project” through which to bring forward his beloved brand, Turnbull & Asser.
This marked a new beginning: the revelation of my long-standing dedication re-establishing the prestigious Turnbull & Asser brand, as perceived by Roberto Menichetti and guided by the vision of chairman James Fayed. Since then, I have had the privilege of serving as the Global Executive Director of Turnbull & Asser and I am honoured to be part of the Global Directive Team, along with James and Roberto, leading several prestigious projects worldwide.
The official news regarding Roberto Menichetti’s leadership role at Turnbull was recently released, and I am pleased to share that I will now resume my interactions with the industry with enthusiasm, pride and vivid gratitude for all the support and affection I have continued to receive.
