I brought him home just an hour ago. He doesn’t really know who I am yet, but there he is—fast asleep, his head resting gently on the gear shift as if it were the softest bed.
He’s exhausted. Worn out from fear, from waiting, from feeling unwanted.
And now, for the first time in who knows how long, he sleeps peacefully. He trusts me.

No one clapped this time, no cheerful voices filled the room — only silence marked her twenty-sixth birthday 💔.
She tried to wag her tail, but her body refused; the ache was stronger than the will.
Once she ran through fields, chasing balls and laughter. Now, only time moves — slow and merciless — circling her like a ghost 🌫️.
On the shelf, a photo still smiles — her younger self beside the family that left. Her old collar dangles nearby, a quiet relic of love that didn’t last 📷.
She closed her eyes and made a wish: for one more touch, one more “Happy birthday, my girl.” 🥺
But no one answered. The last candle trembled… then faded into darkness 🕯️🐶💔.
