Directed by Belange Rodriguez, is "Who Killed Art", a mockumentary that questions, "who would want to kill the art?"... It could be the bureaucracy, paparazzi, a fame seeker, the mafia...Who knows?
Join BIP for a social hour of intrigue and banter with the cast members (suspects) of "Who Killed Art?" followed by the private premier screening this Friday, August 27 at 7:00 PM
Attendees will enjoy taking a stab (no pun intended) at guessing which of the cast members actually killed Art A. Leal, a highly esteemed renaissance man living amongst a community of artist.
Your contribution will help advance BIP's mission and help support community performing arts projects. Contributors will also receive a comp coupon for one free drink and appetizer. Additional beverages and small plates will be for sale. The event proceeds will go towards supporting future BIP projects.

“INTERCULTURAL BILINGUAL ACTING WORKSHOP ,” is an excellent introduction to the different acting techniques to improve your own artistic and creative skills. The actress describes her workshop as a voyage through emotions. “You have to see the interpretation in its entire dimension and have something to say of yourself in each interpretation. That is why it is impossible to be an ACTOR without developing one’s own empirical or investigative experience. To be able to enter into, and explore our own emotions in order to put them at the service of a character, makes the actor an ARTIST that can create from the character and from one’s own experiences, in addition to allowing the actor to have creative independence.”
The classes will be in Spanish, English, and Spanglish in order to achieve a spontaneity and security to demonstrate as actors our own intercultural accents. It is not necessary for one to have professional experience; however it is necessary to have some basic knowledge of acting work.
The workshop consists of 22 hours of classes, one day per week starting on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Classes will be on Tuesdays, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at El Barrio's ArtSpace PS109, located at 215 E 99th Street (between 2nd and 3rd Avenues). The workshop group will be a small group in order to maintain a more personalized training dynamics. Those interested in seeking further information as to cost of the workshop can call 787-632-1141 (local charges).
As part of MS. AMNERIS MORALES’ commitment to the community, the actress will be granting a scholarship for talent. To be considered for this scholarship, you must audition previously. The auditions will be held on Tuesday, January 22 between 7:00 and 9:00 PM. Call to register.
