NEW RELEASE: The Undine Smith Moore Collection brings
together beloved art songs and spirituals by the influential composer and
teacher who broke barriers through her artistry, intellect, and advocacy.
Each song has been thoughtfully edited by Dr. Louise Toppin,
Professor of Music (Voice) at the University of Michigan. An acclaimed soprano
and a family friend of Moore, Dr. Toppin brings both professional expertise and
a personal connection to the composer, offering performers historically
informed insight into Moore’s remarkable music.
Featuring selections including Martin’s Song (No. 12 from
Scenes from the Life of a Martyr), Love, Let the Wind Cry, and Change, this
anthology also includes arrangements for both high and low voice, retaining
Moore’s original versions.
A valuable addition to any singer’s library, this rich
collection brings Moore’s powerful, expressive music to recitals, concerts, and
the next generation of performers.
