A love letter to the New York Knicks, straight from the fans.

I was at the 3rd annual Roommates Show Block Party at Randall’s Island Park, hosted by Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson and Matt Hillman, as Knicks fans came together to celebrate the show, the team and the players.

So I asked one question: What’s your message to the Knicks?

This one’s for the players from the fans ❤️

Ever wanted to learn how to make a pizza in Little Italy?

I stopped by Da Nico, where Frank Criscitelli showed me how to make a Margherita from scratch, from stretching the dough to adding the sauce, cheese and fresh basil from their garden before putting it into the brick oven.

And that oven has some serious family history. The bricks came from Frank’s great-great-great-grandmother’s store down the block on Mulberry Street.

The result? Not too heavy, not too light. Just a really good Margherita.

A fun way to wrap up the 100th Feast of San Gennaro.

Mariano Rivera is bringing a taste of his Panamanian roots to New York with Mo’s Heat, a hot sauce made from a recipe that has been passed down for more than 120 years.

The five time World Series champion and Hall of Famer spoke with me at Yankee Stadium about growing up in Panama, how his roots continue to influence him, and the connection between his baseball career and this new chapter.

Rivera also reflected on his Yankees career, his love for Panama and what it means to share a piece of his culture with families through food.

Subtronics returned to New York for Experts Only at Randall’s Island after playing two sold out shows in Brooklyn earlier this year for his FIBONACCI tour.

I spoke with Jesse about his connection to New York, from spending nights at Webster Hall to meeting his wife here, and how the city and East Coast have influenced his journey.

He also opened up about storytelling through music and what it means to create something that people can connect with, find comfort in and carry with them through whatever they’re going through.

And with SUBJOHNICS closing out Experts Only alongside John Summit, we talked about the connection between dubstep, house and bass music and what makes the two artists work so well together.

Queens native B/AN/K returned to Experts Only at Randall’s Island for his second year performing at the festival.

I spoke with him about what it means to play in his hometown, how growing up in Queens shaped his sound, and how John Summit became an important part of his career.

The two first connected through Discord, where B/AN/K shared his music with John and eventually gave him a USB of his tracks. That relationship led to new opportunities and helped him take his music to bigger stages.

The U.S. Open has officially wrapped up in New York, so I asked some of the celebrities, athletes and actors we spoke with throughout the tournament one last question: What makes the U.S. Open so uniquely New York?

From the energy in the stands and passionate fans to the late nights, early mornings and unmistakable NYC atmosphere, the U.S. Open has a personality all its own.

Here’s what Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Fetty Wap, Jason Isaacs, Sam Nivola, R. Madhavan, Yvonne Orji, Retta, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Rich Paul, Nate Burleson and Josh Hart had to say about why the tournament belongs in New York.

New York Yankees players Cody Bellinger, Max Fried, Austin Wells, Ben Rice, Will Warren, Ryan Weathers, George Lombard Jr. and Spencer Jones spoke with me about the platform athletes have and the importance of giving back to causes they’re passionate about.

The interviews took place at the Carlos Rodón Foundation’s third annual Willow Gala, which raised more than $1 million to expand access to fertility treatments.

JPMorganChase is marking 45 years as a US Open partner, with several free fan experiences across the grounds this year.

I checked out the Chase Lounge, Chase Terrace and the new Chase Market, where fans can grab a drink, watch matches, take a break and even try their luck at a scratch-off for prizes.

Here’s a look at what fans can find around the US Open this year.
