People’s movement not be stopped by mass arrest and filling fake cases: Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim
Jamaat held demonstration at Rampura
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim urged the government to immediately release all imprisoned leaders-activists including Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman by showing respect to democracy and democratic values. City secretary also called upon the ruling government to make a level playing field for holding a free, fair, credible and participatory election.
He today Wednesday said these as the chief guest while addressing at a pro-demonstration rally in Rampura. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North held the demonstration as the part of central program. The demonstration was begun from east Rampura. Demonstrators moved various important roads of the city. It was ended at Abul Hotel area through a short rally. MAhfuzur Rahman, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Nazim Uddin Mollah, Dr. Fakharuddin Manik, Ziaul Hasan, Maulana Muhibullah, Jamal Uddin, Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker, member of working committee of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Nasir Uddin and others were also present in the demonstration.
“Being detached from international community, the government is trying to protect its illegal power by capturing selfie. They are using police force to suppress ongoing movement. The government is involved in enforced disappearance, extra-judicial killing and abduction to stop opposition voice,” Jamaat leader added.
“People’s movement cannot be stopped by mass arrest, filling fake cases and shooting at and the government cannot be saved themselves by capturing selfies,” Muhammad Rezaul Karim added.
He called upon the government to return the disappeared to their relatives.
