Life in one of the world's emptiest country 🇳🇦

By geographical area, Namibia is the 15th largest country in Africa, after Nigeria. However with the population of 2.5 million, the country can feel empty.

Here are some facts that might shock visitors. While it’s normal to Namibians, it can be a culture shock to visitors.

On weekends especially Sundays, Windhoek the capital and other towns are literally ghost towns. Most tourists ask, where are the people?

On the roads, you can drive for 1 hour without encountering a single car, this however depends on the road you are driving on and time of day.

The biggest stadium in the country has the capacity of 24 000 seats and it's rarely fully packed.

For those who goes to bars, it’s normal to find yourself alone in a bar apart from the bartender, this normal happens during daytime.

Beach goers should not expect fully packed beaches. Unless it's Christmas and New Year day, the beaches are empty too.

A village of 1000 people is considered among the biggest in the country.
