We are exactly a week away! Next Saturday JETLAG is back, this time for the Jersey City Puerto Rican Festival After Party. 🇵🇷

We are excited to share that we will be having a bomba performance by Cimarrones NJ 🪘 Cimarrones was established in 2009 in response to the underrepresentation of Bomba and Plena in New Jersey. They have performed and instructed in very diverse venues, including schools, cultural festivals, nightlife, street fairs, fundraisers, and many more. Additionally, Cimarrones released its first CD Viejos Tiempos in 2009. The CD is a compilation of traditional Bomba, Colombian Bullerengue songs interpreted in bomba and fusion with Hip Hop and Reggaeton. Nelson Baez, founder and director of Cimarrones, says “At our performances, we believe that we are not there to entertain but rather to build community with our audiences.”

So expect high energy! Bring an instrument, sing, or dance, the essence of Bomba is alive next week 🇵🇷
