🚨 SEEKING TENANTS’ RIGHTS / ENVIRONMENTAL ATTORNEY – URGENT 🚨

I’ve been forcibly displaced from my Manhattan apartment due to confirmed Level 3 mold contamination and persistent fireplace-related air hazards that my landlord ignored for months.

An independent licensed inspector confirmed dangerously elevated airborne mold levels, and medical professionals have since advised immediate evacuation. This is not a typical dispute—this is a public health violation, covered up and mishandled by one of the city’s largest and most powerful real estate firms.

Despite nearly five years as a tenant in good standing, I’ve received no relocation assistance, no remediation plan, and no acknowledgment of the legal violations at play. I’ve now been forced to act as my own legal strategist, medical advocate, and displaced tenant.

I am looking for serious tenant rights attorneys, environmental tort litigators, or firms with class action experience. If you know anyone with the courage, bandwidth, and legal skill to take on a case with clear documentation and overwhelming liability—please connect us.

I’m also reaching out to anyone who’s experienced similar treatment by large landlords or has been impacted by mold or indoor air quality negligence. This is part of a systemic pattern, and I believe it’s time for accountability.

"It is indeed only the likes of independent features or student productions that might use rental sites to find a location; studios have their own location-management departments. Manhattan’s David Brotsky, who has worked locations for series including "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," films including "Midsommar" and numerous corporate clients, said a consumer-oriented service such as Airbnb is not a first step he would take.

"A lot of producers on the lower end [of budgets] try to use these sites and then find themselves struggling in the end," he said, since homeowners unused to the needs of film productions often balk when they learn what’s involved — the number of people, the long hours, the heavy equipment moving from room to room.

"A lot of people think, ‘Oh, it's just the set where they’re filming.’ But we also need to be concerned about parking, about catering spaces, holding areas [for extras and other talent not in a shot], lighting and camera placements, etc," Brotsky noted.”

Many films, shows and music videos continue to be shot on LI. There are a select few where you can spend the night.

Originally from Dallas, TX, David has lived in NYC (primarily Manhattan) for over 13 years. He loves the city for its culture, history, visual stimulation, constant convenience, and its unmatched rhythm—its heartbeat.

David’s unique blend of experience in sales and location scouting for major film and tv productions (such as Mr. Robot, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Americans, The Blacklist, Orange is the New Black, Almost Famous, Friday Night Lights, and Law and Order: SVU), have given him a knack for identifying and matching the right places with the right people.

He is attracted to real estate because of the connection he is able to make with his clients. He understands the importance of being honest, thoughtful, and empathetic, and seeks to build client relationships based on trust as he helps them make some of the biggest decisions of their lives. A self-motivated, innovative perfectionist, David is passionate about delivering results and is eager to welcome new people to the city, and others to their new homes.
