NYC Motorcyclist

NYC Motorcyclist An online hub which brings the entire NYC moto community closer together, making it easier for enthusiasts to find local clubs and their events.

New York has a large, spirited and highly diverse motorcycling community which overcomes the seasonal nature of the sport by heading out of the city in search of scenic twisties whenever the sun shines. You see motorcyclists of every vein on the streets -- cafe racers, bobbers, sports bikes, multi-terrain, dual sport, classic vintage, tour bikes -- yet New York's sheer size often makes it difficult for riders of like minds to meet up. There are a host of specialized motorcycle clubs with regular weekly and monthly events -- NYCMotorcyclist.com hopes to make it a little easier for riders to find them through a detailed online events calendar, a club directory with website links and contact information, and a resource guide ... all in one place. Add to that local moto news and reviews, and you have a one-stop information source.

Gotham Depot Moto
51 Box Street, Brooklyn, NY
Aug. 8 - Oct. 31, 2026

What started as a small anonymous single-day, pop-up gallery celebrating the NYC DGR last May has now been gifted a residency in Greenpoint at Gotham Moto Depot courtesy of gallery curator Stefon Davis.

"The photos on display were selected as a tribute to the NYC Moto community, who come out year after year to support the annual Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. They are photos that have stuck with me over the years … moments, familiar faces and friends … both portraits from the COVID years and more recent images that capture the day’s emotions in a single expression. Dapper cool, exhilaration, happiness to be among fellow riders … and more."

~ Rahoul Ghose - An always proud New Yorker in absentia.

2026 'Run for Richie' 9/11 Ride

On Saturday, Sept. 19, hundreds of motorcyclists will ride through New York City to mark the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, in memory of Richard Allen Pearlman — at 18, the youngest first responder to die that day.

Richie joined the Forest Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps at 14 as a Junior Corps member, served as a dispatcher, and had just joined the Senior Corps at 18. On the morning of the attacks he was working at a Manhattan law firm; his employer ordered him back to the office for his own safety, and he stayed at the World Trade Center to help instead. He was photographed treating the injured in Newsweek's extra edition, "America Under Attack."

The 'Run for Richie' is an NYC-permitted parade hosted by the NYC Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club for FHVAC — an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) ambulance corps that has provided free emergency medical care to Queens since 1971.

All bikes welcome: Sport bikes, foreign and domestic bikes, trikes, side cars, choppers, home-made bikes — anything that requires a DOT motorcycle license.

The first 411 registered riders receive a numbered commemorative coin — one for each first responder lost at the World Trade Center. Earlier rides have drawn well over a thousand motorcyclists.
