রুদ্র কে ডিভোর্স দেয়ার পর আমি তার সাথে আর কোন যোগাযোগ রাখিনি বা রাখতে চাই নি।তবুও ও প্রতিদিন নিয়ম করে তিনবেলা কল করতো।

আমি ধরতাম না।ধরার কথাও না কারণ ডিভোর্স টা তো আমিই ওকে দিয়েছি।এমন করে কেটে গেল ছ'মাস।সাড়ে পাঁচ মাসের মতো সে নিয়ম করে তিনবেলা কল করে গেছে।

হঠাৎ তার থেকে আর কোন কল আসেনি।মনে মনে ভাবলাম যাক আপদটা হয়তো আমাকে ভুলতে পেরেছে।

আসলে ওকে ডিভোর্স দেয়ার কোন বড় কারণও ছিল না।এমনও না যে আমার পুরানো বয়ফ্রেন্ড ছিল তার সাথে আমি চলে যেতে চেয়েছি।আসলে ও আমায় ভিষণ ভালোবাসতো সবসময়ই খোঁজ নিত।এটাই আমার ভালো লাগতো না।আচ্ছা বলেন তো একটা মানুষের কি একা থাকতে নেই নাকি প্রাইভেসি থাকতে নেই।হোক সে মেয়ে বা ছেলে সবসময়ই যদি খোঁজ নিয়ে লুতুপুতু আলাপ জুড়ে দেয় কেমন লাগে।

সে ছেলে ভালো,ভালো চাকরি,বর হিসেবে পারফেক্ট হয়তো অনেকের কাছে,সে দেখতেও সুদর্শন কিন্তু ঐ যে ওর সবসময়ই খোঁজ নেয়াটাই আমার বিরক্ত লাগতো।

ও অফিসে গেলে সেখান থেকে রাত অবধি হুটহাট কল করে খোঁজ নিত।

আরে বিয়ে করছে ভালো কথা তাই বলে সবসময় এভাবে বউকে খোঁজ কে করে ভাই।এটাই ছিল আমার বিরক্তির কারণ।

তার সাথে ডিভোর্স নেয়ায় বাবা-মা থেকেও আজ আমি বিচ্ছিন্ন। তাদের কথা হলো ওমন ভালো ছেলে নাকি আর একটাও নেই।আমিও মানি সে কথা কিন্তু তাদেরকে আমি কিভাবে বলতাম আমার সমস্যা টা।

এমন করে দিন যেতে লাগল।তার থেকে কল আসাটা হঠাৎই বন্ধ হওয়ায় বেশ ভালো লাগলো আবার চিন্তিতও হলাম।যে ছেলে নিয়ম করে কল না ধরা সত্বেও তিনবেলা কল করে গেছে হঠাৎই তার এমন কি হলো!

একদিন ওর ফোনে অনিচ্ছা সত্বেও কল দিলাম।রিঙ্কি ধরল।রিঙ্কি হলো রুদ্রের ছোট বোন।ও ধরে যা বলল,তা শুনে আমার পায়ের নিচের মাটি যেন সরে গেল।

রিঙ্কি বলল,

-এখন কেন ফোন দিয়েছেন সব কিছু শেষ করে আমাদেরকে এতিম করে আপনি তো সুখেই আছেন এটাই তো চেয়েছিলেন আপনি।

-মানে?

-মানে আবার কি?আপনি যাওয়ার পর ভাইয়া আপনাকে রোজ নিয়ম করে ফোন করত।সেদিনও আপনাকে ফোন করতে করতে রাস্তা পার হচ্ছিল ঠিক সে সময় একটা চলন্ত ট্রাক এসে......ও আর কিছু বলতে পারলো না কেঁদে দিল

আমিও নির্বাক হয়ে গেলাম রিঙ্কির কথা শুনে।সত্য বলতে আমার শশুর ওদের ছোট রেখেই মারা যান।রুদ্র বড় হওয়ায় সব দায় দায়িত্ব তার ঘারেই পড়ে।সেই ওদের সংসার টা রুদ্রই চালাতো।রুদ্র রা ছিল দুই ভাইবোন।রিঙ্কি ছোট।

ও চাকরি করে যা পেত তা দিয়ে ওদের ভালো ভাবেই চলে যেত।রুদ্র ভীষণ হিসেবি ছিল।বিয়ের দেন মোহরটাও ও গুছিয়েই রেখেছিল।যা সে বিয়ের দিন রাতেই আমাকে বুঝিয়ে দেয়।তাই ওদের সংসারে কখনো অভাব অন্তত আমি বুঝিনি।

একমাত্র আমি গিয়েই ওদের সোনার সংসারে আগুন লাগিয়ে ছিলাম।আমার উচ্চাবিলাসী জীবন যাপন মেটাতে গিয়ে রুদ্র হিমশিম খেত কিন্তু কিছু বুঝতে দিতোনা সদা হাস্যোজ্জ্বল ছেলে ছিল,ভাবতাম ও নিজে থেকেই আমার উপর বিরক্ত হয়ে আমাকে ডিভোর্স দিয়ে দিবে।

বিয়েটা পারিবারিক ভাবেই হয়েছিল।অল্প বয়সে পারিবারের দায়িত্ব কাঁধে নেয়ায় রুদ্রের জীবনে প্রেম করার হয়তো সুযোগ হয় নি।

তাই হয়তো আমাকেই সব ভালোবাসা উজাড় করে দিতে চেয়েছিল কিন্তু আমি স্বার্থপরের মতো ওর ভালোবাসাকে বিরক্ত মনে করে ওকে দুরে ঠেলে দিয়েছিলাম।

আজ আমার বয়স হয়েছে সে ঘটনা শোনার পর নিজের ভেতর অপরাধ বোধ কাজ করে গেছে প্রতিনিয়ত।ওর পরিবারের খোঁজ নেয়ার সাহস হয়নি আমার।

কোন মুখে নিতাম আপনারাই বলেন।নিজের ভিতরে এতোটাই অপরাধবোধ কাজ করে গেছে যে সে ঘটনার পর আমি আর বিয়ে করার পদক্ষেপ নিতে পারি নি।

তখনও যে আমার রূপ সৌন্দর্য ছিল না এমনও না।তখনো আমার পিছনে ছেলেদের লাইন ধরে যেত।কিন্তু নিজের খাম খেয়ালির জন্য একটা পরিবার একটা হাস্যজ্বল মানুষকে আমি নিজেই শেষ করে দিলাম।

আচ্ছা রুদ্র বা তার পরিবার কি আমার কখনোই ক্ষমা করতে পারবে।আমি তো নিজেই নিজেকে কখনোই ক্ষমা করতে পারবো না।না কখনোই না.......
