Movember
Change the face of men’s health!
In case you’re curious, Movember started in 2003 with a group of guys in Adelaide, Australia who grew “Whiskers for Whiskers” and donated money to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Then another group in Melbourne, Australia, adopted the name (and month-long moustache growing) to raise awareness for prostate cancer and depression in men. This chapter is what paved the way for the worldwide charity it is today.
As Movember comes to a close, let's not forget the importance of generating awareness for men's health and wellness year-round.
Talk to the men in your family to learn about your family health history, and be more informed about your own mind/body. Be an advocate of your own and take action!
