“A rollicking trickster of a novel, wondrously funny and wickedly addictive.”—Maria Semple

Advanced copies have arrived for THE VIXEN by bestselling author Francine Prose. A dazzling new novel set in the glamorous world of 1950s New York publishing, the story of a young man tasked with editing a steamy bodice-ripper based on the recent trial and execution of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg—an assignment that will reveal the true cost of entering that seductive, dangerous new world.

TO BE A MAN is one of O, The Oprah Magazine's 20 Best Books of 2020! "[To Be a Man] is filled with indelible instances of strangeness, eroticism, and loneliness. All ten stories have the quality of waking dreams—an otherworldly stillness—and examine why we are drawn to another, how excruciating it is to let go of a parent who’s died, or the moments when instinct overrules reason."

Tugume Henry Kasaija brings you a captivating adventurous Novel "Quest for Love"to have been written by a Ugandan. It’s the first book with a well-crafted love story between people who witnessed love from different angles and took on its challenges from the hardest point. The novel is a pure fiction with a realistic story that depicts life on the streets of Kampala and through other parts of the country. It overruns the tribes and crosses territories to the far west of the Pacific. Quest for Love introduces to you scenes of very hardworking people who are trying to fight off their past so that they make a good future. The journey is not easy more especially where feelings and emotions are at play. Everyone wants love that they can believe in. but how can one get it when they all seem to be runners? The characters in this book in case they depict ones situation, are purely a coincidence. The book was written with no intention of interfering with anyone’s image or personality whatsoever. It’s a pure fiction and I regret any compromised character in my work. Thank you. Tugume Henry Kasaija +27676876348 email: [email protected] Urgently need a publisher.
Hello - I am hoping this message gets to the correct department/person...I won your Goodreads giveaway for Erica Katz's "The Boys Club" in June. The giveaway says the books were mailed out over a month ago, however I still have not received my copy. I understand the pandemic has slowed things down, but since it was updated with a mailing date I was wondering if there was something truly wrong with my not getting a copy yet? Thank you.
I was a skinny 7 year old born to an uneducated Mexican father and an Irish Welsh mother. Playing with my Hot Wheels in the dirt front yard of a 3 bedroom broken down house. Seems the front and back yard were barren but with weeds growing here and there. My parents didn't care to grow any thing in that yard and if they did they would let it go as they did us kids and them selves. I did always wonder why all the other yards on Argile court had green grass but ours. Earlier I had tried to wake them and get ready to go but they yelled at me and threatened me to leave them alone. An hour or so went by and out the two came and as they ran past to get in the car I asked them where they were going. My mom replied we'll be back in a while and drove off. A while later they came back. My mom got out of the car, picked me up by the arm as I weighed all of 30 pounds, ran me into the house, put a shirt and shoes on me, spit combed my hair and we drove to the church. Still covered in dirt, the priest with a disgusted look on his face and being aggressive with me has me hold the snare drum while he secures the strap around my neck. He teaches me how to hold the drum sticks and how to tap the drum with them to the beat of the Little Drummer Boy. I do my best but he is frustrated with me and my parents being late and he's taking it out on me as my parents were as well. The part of the drum closest to me keeps slipping down and I miss a beat every time as I pull it back up. It was heavy for me as it was but being nervous with all those people looking at me and not having any thing to eat since the day before I had no strength and was skin and bones as it was. I made it through the rehearsal and what kept me going was I knew we would be eating the doughnuts laid out on the table in the back of the church. We rarely had food in our house and if we didn't go to school and eat the free lunch we didn't eat for the day. It was Saturday so I most likely wasn't going to eat that day except what I could devour on that table. END Advice please???
What were you thinking when you published 'Santa's Husband'? OMG this is just disgusting! So gay pedophiles have rights in the US now? I hope no kids see this disgrace of a book 😡🤢🤮
Did you know that there are many history books and documentaries about the Vietnam War that are now outdated? New records, interviews, documents, and secret tapes are revealing so much about the war from both sides that much of what we thought about the war is turning out misunderstood or flat out wrong. For example, did you think that Ho Chi Minh and Giap were the Communist leaders running the war? Wrong! Did you think the war was primarily an insurgency or civil war? Wrong! Did you think the war was won by the American military but lost by the politicians? Wrong! Did you think that the South Vietnamese people hated their leaders so much that they could never had survived as an independent nation; or that its military never could have defeated the North? Wrong! There is so much that we are now learning that dispels the experts and our thinking about the war. A new book that uses the latest historical sources from all sides in the war and dispels so many myths or misunderstandings and misgivings about the war is now available. It’s called WARRIORS AND FOOLS: HOW AMERICA’S LEADERS LOST THE VIETNAM WAR AND WHY IT STILL MATTERS. See a trailer at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNerI6v9oNs

Hello, I hope this message finds you well. I realize this may not be the most proper format in which to reach out, but I couldn't find an appropriate avenue of customer service on your website. I'm having an issue with one of your books and I'm hoping you can help provide some recourse. I purchased a new, hard cover copy of Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari this past Father's Day as a gift. My father absolutely loves the text; however, this weekend he showed me the binding - the back cover has nearly detached from the main body of the book. It is hanging on by the paper adhered to the inside of the cover. He is a gentle man and treats his belongings with respect. We also have many other books from your publishing house that have remained intact across many years. He's almost finished with the book and is racing to complete it before the back cover completely falls off. Frankly, we expect a greater degree of durability from Harper's hardcover books. We'd have hoped for this text to remain part of our library for years to come.Is there a way that we can return this book to you in exchange for another? Thank you for your time, Kim Alpert
