Taking this moment to reflect on life as a Black man during yet another Black History Month. 💪🏾 🤔 💪🏾

Two weeks ago, on February 11, I added another year. I spent that week in Istanbul as I walked through centuries of history, standing where empires once stood, reminded that legacy is built over time. A much needed time out with my family. 🖤

What makes this month even more meaningful is that two of my closest and most consistent brothers share it with me. Steven Onoja (left. born Feb 15) - over a decade of brotherhood. Osi Peters (Feb 18) - over two decades of loyalty and growth. ✊🏾✊🏾

I don’t believe in astrology, but I do believe in alignment. And somehow, life aligned us.

Through pain and progress. Through wins and wounds. Through becoming husbands, fathers, leaders, and better men. We have witnessed each other evolve. We have corrected each other. We have held space for each other. We have stood guard for each other.

There is something powerful about Black men choosing friendship. Choosing vulnerability. Choosing consistency. In a world that often asks us to be tough, hard, silent, and self-contained - having a tribe of other Black men who see you, challenge you, and celebrate you is pure wealth.
