Some people argue that evil, the devil, or spiritual attacks are only myths. Yet when we see certain human behaviours, they are so shocking that logic alone cannot explain them.
Some actions seem to come from a place of darkness far beyond ordinary human thinking. We don’t need to look only at Cain and Abel in the Bible, even in our communities today, there are people whose actions suggest they are under the influence of a deeper wickedness.
A tragic example comes from Texas twins, Shamaiya Hall and Troyshaye Hall, born July 11, 1997. They shared the same birthday and the same bloodline, but later carried the same dark legacy: both accused of killing their own children in separate incidents just two years apart.
June 2021, Dallas: Troyshaye fatally stabbed her 7-year-old daughter after attacking a teenage family friend. She was later declared mentally unfit and sent to a psychiatric hospital.
March 2023, Ellis County: Shamaiya stabbed all five of her children during a CPS visit. Three died, and two survived with serious injuries. She now faces multiple charges.
💔 Two sisters. Two separate tragedies. Both accused of destroying the very lives they once nurtured.
Could the roots run deeper?
When we look into family histories, sometimes we discover that these patterns did not start with one person.
It is possible that generations before, grandparents or great-grandparents, may have shed blood, committed violence, or carried unhealed trauma. Such wounds can leave spiritual and emotional scars that resurface in later generations.
This is why, before we enter marriage, build relationships, or join families, it is wise to ask hard questions:
Has there been violence or bloodshed in this family?
Do cycles of abuse, destruction, or tragedy repeat across generations?
What kind of spiritual or emotional wounds might still need healing?
Lessons for all of us👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇
1. Evil is real in many forms. It can be spiritual, mental, or generational, and ignoring it only allows it to grow.
2. Family history matters. The past can shape the present. Patterns of violence or trauma must be confronted through prayer, repentance, and healing.
3. Seek both spiritual and medical help. Prayer is powerful, but so are counselling and professional care. Together, they save lives.
4. Protect the vulnerable. Children and those at risk must always come first when warning signs appear.
5. Break the cycle early. Every generation has a choice: to continue patterns of destruction or to fight for a new legacy of peace, love, and healing.
👉 The story of these twin sisters is deeply tragic, but it carries a warning: what remains unresolved in one generation can destroy the next.
Let us be alert, ask the right questions, and seek God’s help to cleanse, heal, and protect our families.
Blessed Sunday to you all🙏🙏🙏
