Head to Fortune for an exclusive excerpt from Caroline Dooner's new book Tired As F*ck, on sale now HarperCollins!

How a Former McDonald’s Manager Convinced Millennial Women She Was God

“Language works to convert, condition, and coerce certain followers, coaxing them on board with more and more extreme versions of whatever idea they were already open to. Dear Dr laundry. I just finished watching your show on network special. Thanks to you I am ordering the whole package. I too have been grasping every medical concept to get healthy again. My short story. Is I was finishing my RN at the hospital when I had a terrible accident. That caused me to have 3 neck surgeries and steroids injections. All to my dismay didn't work. My neck now consists of artificial screws which hold my neck in place. Now prior to my accident I must tell u I was running 5 Mile's a day. Working at the hospital full-time and going to school. I felt like I was 20 but I was 49 but at age 51 after my accident I felt like 90. After all my surgeries which u know as well as I they can't regenerate nerves last year I thought I'd try to run again very scared and talking it slow I began it took me 2 years to lose the 46 lbs that I had gained. My health actually did improve my Dr was so pleased I was happier I looked better . U are awesome.
