Happy EMS Week!

This powerful image captures just a glimpse of the incredible work done by the brave men and women of FDNY EMS. From the street to the scene, our Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Paramedics are the backbone of emergency response—trained to save lives in the most critical moments.

But EMS is more than just ambulances…

HAZ-TAC Units specialize in hazardous materials and chemical incidents, equipped to operate safely in contaminated zones.
Rescue Medics are elite responders who can rappel down buildings, operate in water rescues, treat patients in burning structures, and carry specialized medications and protocols.
Rescue Task Force (RTF) teams are trained to enter active shooter or mass casualty incidents alongside law enforcement to triage and treat wounded civilians under fire.

This week, we honor all of EMS—those on the ground, in the fire, under the tape, and in the chaos—risking their lives to protect yours.

Hey everyone — I’m Jerry, creator and writer of The Elements and founder of E4Comics.

E4 stands for the Four Elements — Fire, Water, Wind, and Lightning — and it also represents four real-life friends who grew up loving anime, martial arts, and powerful storytelling. What started as a shared passion became a bond, and that bond evolved into a comic universe filled with action, loyalty, and heart.

In The Elements, we explore what it means to rise against the odds, harness your inner strength, and stand united when it counts.

I created this story to reflect the power of brotherhood and the belief that if you find the four key components in anything… you’ll find victory.
