The Rest Is Noise PH (TRIN) is a music curator, events production, and online publication based in Manila, Philippines. Since 2015, TRIN has curated and produced more than 30 shows: ranging from pocket venues to outdoor festival settings. It is home to the annual Summer Noise and All Of The Noise music festivals, which feature critically acclaimed homegrown and international music acts. These show

s highlight the rich and diverse backgrounds, cultures, and styles of music artists from home and abroad, championing both emerging and established music-makers. In 2020, TRIN launched a digital platform to cover music by Asian artists from anywhere in the world: publishing in-depth stories, profiles, features, and essays as well as curate regular playlists, country spotlight, and radio mixes. During the same year, TRIN co-founded the AXEAN Festival (formerly ASEAN Music Showcase Festival), a collaborative regional showcase festival that aims to put the spotlight on music artists and communities from Southeast Asia. TRIN takes pride in fostering a thriving sense of community, culture, and inclusivity—providing a platform that champions the best of Asian music and strengthening regional and global connections, onstage or in the digital space.

We formed AXEAN Festival (formerly ASEAN Music Showcase Festival) in early 2020, shortly after the pandemic lockdown alongside our good, scrappy friends from Southeast Asia, whom we’ve met in late 2010s in different parts of Asia—coming along together with common grit, a little bit of stubbornness, a lot of door-knocking, blood, sweat, and tears—in a consequential moment in our lives, our cultures, communities, and countries, united in our passion and deep love for music.

After holding the first 2 editions online, we held the inaugural showcase in Singapore in 2022 and 2023, followed by last year and this year’s editions in Bali, Indonesia.

Since 2020, The Rest Is Noise has brought over 20 Filipino music acts to AXEAN Festival alone—including this year’s artists DJ Love, LUSTBASS, and ONE CLICK STRAIGHT—coordinating and extending more exchange and export opportunities to more artists solely through the support of our global, private network and the artists themselves in their pursuit of creative and career development.

We want to share more about our work at AXEAN Festival, our big dreams—but we hope these steps, largely done behind the scenes, speak for itself.

THE REST IS NOISE 43 brings back our TUMULTUM project, a mix series that started during the pandemic via Manila Community Radio (all 5 episodes are available on their Mixcloud page).

To continue celebrating our 10th anniversary this year, we're also bringing back a beloved staple from our earlier years: the mixtape. Back then, we used to independently produce mix CDs featuring tracks from artists who performed at our shows over the years.

This time, we're combining both projects to reboot TUMULTUM and the mixtape projects by bringing you: TUMULTUM mixtape series. Our maiden volume will contain digital downloads of songs from our performing artists for . Check out the tracklist below.
