🕯️ Today is Tisha B’Av — the saddest day on the Jewish calendar.
We fast to mourn the destruction of our Holy Temples and the countless tragedies that have struck our people for over 2,000 years.

But today, some are fasting not by choice.

💔 Over 600 days in Hamas captivity.
Starved. Tortured. Hidden underground. Forgotten by much of the world.

As we sit on the floor and read Eicha — the Book of Lamentations — we mourn the pain of the past, but also the unbearable suffering of the present.

📿 This Tisha B’Av,
We cry for Jerusalem.
We cry for our hostages.
And we cry for a world that has learned nothing.

🕯️ May this fast be meaningful. May their suffering end. May we never forget.
