Paletero Man (HarperCollins) by Lucky Diaz, illustrated by Micah Player has received a 3rd starred review, this time from Publishers Weekly. It has also received stars from Kirkus and School Library Journal.

PW says Player adds dynamic spreads in bright hues that often illuminate the untranslated Spanish. A wonderfully executed treat of a book with a sweet community focus.

Kathryn Thurman will be doing a virtual Zoom event on March 26th @ 5pm with Third Place Books in Seattle with four amazing PNW authors. (Dana Sullivan, (Dead Max Series), Jing Jing Song, Trudi Truet, (Explorer Series) and Barbara Davis Pyles.

The event will be geared towards kids. The authors will be sharing the backstory and creative process of their most recent book and a few strategies that have helped us stay creative during covid. There will also be raffle prizes.
