Embracing regional differences and unique storytelling styles is crucial for creating content that truly connects with diverse audiences. By incorporating specific elements from different regions, brands can establish a stronger sense of place and resonate with consumers on a deeper level. “Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly new revolutionary proposals are old hat.”

“If voters believe Mamdani can deliver what he promises without turning New York City into a socialist city… I have a few bridges to sell them.’”

“‘His entire campaign is a betrayal of reality.’”

Arthur Solomon does not hold back in his latest piece on the rise of Zohran Mamdani and the future of New York City politics. He argues that many of Mamdani’s policies have already been tried — and failed — and warns they could push the city into economic decline.

He quotes Winston Churchill: “The inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.” He cites Margaret Thatcher: “It only works well until you run out of other people’s money.”

And he doesn’t mince words about PR lessons either: “PR people should remember that sometimes only providing a new twist to an old idea is the best idea.”

👉 Do you agree with Solomon that Mamdani’s policies would hurt NYC? Or do you believe this is exactly what the city needs?

Drop your thoughts in the comments — this is one debate that communicators and citizens alike can’t ignore.

As Election Day nears, Mamdani’s socialist platform fuels debate about policy history, political messaging, and PR lessons.

In his latest CommPRO article, Ken challenges communicators to stop relying on polished messaging alone and instead help organizations build trust through meaningful action that becomes the foundation of powerful brand narratives.
