বাংলাদেশ বদলে গেছে, তাই এর রাজধানীও বদলে যাওয়া উচিত। পোর্ট সিটি চিটাগং হবে বাংলাদেশের নতুন রাজধানী। মূলত ঢাকার চেয়েও বেশী পটেনসিয়েল রয়েছে চিটাগং এর। রাজধানী হওয়ার সব এলিমেন্ট এই শহরে মওজুদ রয়েছে। অর্থনীতি ও রাজনীতির এক ঐতিহাসিক বিপ্লবী ধারক ও বাহক চিটাগং। বর্তমান উপদেষ্টা পরিষদটাকেই দেখুন না - প্রধান উপদেষ্টা থেকে শুরু করে ধর্ম উপদেষ্টা পুরোটাই Chittagongonian Panel, অনেকে তো ঠাট্টা করে এটাকে চট্টগ্রাম সমিতি বা চিটাগং ক্লাব বলা শুরু করে দিয়েছিলো। রাজধানী শিফট নতুন কিছু নয়। বিশ্বে বহু দেশ রাজধানী শিফট করেছে। বাংলাদেশও রাজধানী শিফট করলে এতে উন্নয়নে বুস্ট ও এক্সিলারেশন আসবে। তাই প্রধান উপদেষ্টার কাছে অনুরোধ এইটা নিয়া একটা জনমত জরিপ বা জনমত গঠন করার উদ্যোগ নিন।
