After one particularly rough moment on the mountain, something beautiful happened before anyone even had time to worry.

Two of his closest friends, a pair of young macaques named Moe and Momiage, rushed straight to Punch and wrapped themselves around him. No hesitation, no waiting to see what the adults would do. They simply showed up for him.

This is the same baby who once had nobody. Now he has friends who run toward him in his hardest moments instead of away.

That is what real belonging looks like, not a life with no hard days, but a life where somebody shows up on the hard ones.

There was a time when this keeper barely slept, waking every two hours to feed a newborn who had no mother to do it for him.

Those exhausting nights are long behind them now. These days, Shumpei Miyakoshi mostly just watches from a short distance, arms crossed, a small proud smile on his face as Punch climbs and plays with friends he once had none of.

He does not need to step in anymore. He just needs to be there, close enough to help if it is ever needed, far enough to let Punch be brave on his own.

That quiet kind of love, the kind that steps back once the work is done, might be the purest kind there is.

Before the world knew Punch's name, this young man was already trying everything to help him.

He tested rolled up towels, blankets, and other stuffed animals, searching for something that could bring the newborn comfort. Nothing worked quite right until he tried one specific orangutan toy, chosen for its long fur and monkey like shape, something Punch could actually grip the way he would grip his mother.

That small, patient decision became the thing that carried Punch through his hardest days.

A lone wolf carried an old dog bed away from a quiet mountain home and disappeared into the woods.

For days, residents had noticed the same wolf moving along the edge of town. He kept his distance, never coming close, never causing trouble—just watching from the trees.

Then one evening, a camera captured something unexpected.

The wolf walked onto a porch, found an old dog bed near the door, picked it up, and carried it toward the forest.

It wasn’t food.
It wasn’t something valuable.
It was simply a place to rest.

His keepers say he hardly needs the toy during the day now. He spends most of his time with the troop—watching, learning, playing, and slowly becoming more confident. But when night falls, or when an older monkey reminds him of his place, he sometimes returns to her for a little comfort.
Growing up doesn’t always mean leaving your comfort behind. Sometimes it simply means learning when you need it—and when you’re strong enough to stand on your own.
You never completely outgrow the things that once made you feel safe. You just learn to reach for them only when they truly matter.

🇧🇷 Brazil Bans Foie Gras Over Animal Welfare Concerns
Brazil has officially banned the production, sale, and import of foie gras, a luxury food made from the liver of ducks and geese.
The decision was driven by concerns over the force-feeding practices commonly used in foie gras production, which animal welfare organizations have long criticized as inhumane.
Although Brazil produced only limited amounts of foie gras, the new law also ends imports, making it one of the strongest bans in the region. Animal advocacy groups say Brazil is the first country in Latin America to prohibit both the production and sale of foie gras.
Similar restrictions already exist in several countries around the world as awareness of animal welfare continues to grow.
