Glowing? Yes. Sustainable? Absolutely not. The skincare theatre continues — starring every k-beauty creator (us included) 😅

Confession: I kinda regret using it all up, lowkey liked this one — now I’m left with empties before i even saw the real results 🙃

Ok but this mask actually surprised me 😮
the Mary&May Charcoal PDRN Mask is a jelly-type hydrogel that grips like second skin and finishes in 30 mins (most take hours). the sheet melts just enough with your body heat so everything absorbs evenly, no drips, no leftover essence.

Charcoal clears and tightens pores while PDRN (the ingredient you’ll find in a lot of Korean skincare lately) helps with firmness and elasticity. cooling, clean, and way more high-tech than it looks.

Korean Pharmacy Skincare seems to be having a moment lately, so here’s our round-up and recommendations, coming from two Korean-Canadian-American gyopos who’ve been living in Korea for over 10 years.

Some of these are longtime faves and frequent repurchases, while others, like Dr. Melaxin, are new discoveries recommended by actual Korean pharmacists. And then there are products like Reju-All, which we specifically hunted down after seeing it socials.

Korean pharmacy skincare used to mean simple, science-backed formulas made for sensitive skin. But lately, it’s kind of a blur — what actually counts as “pharmacy skincare”? Can we call something pharmacy skincare just because it’s sold at one? 🤔

Dr. Melaxin TX Ampoule
A highly concentrated brightening ampoule with Tranexamic Acid and Niacinamide that helps fade dark spots and even out skin tone. We reach for it whenever our skin looks dull or uneven.

Cellromax M+ Repair Cream
Our go-to recovery cream after retinol or exfoliating. It contains Centella Asiatica, Peptides, and Green Bean Extract to calm redness and strengthen the skin barrier.

Fucidin Ointment (후시딘 연고)
Probably the most common cream in every Korean household. It’s an antibiotic ointment with Fusidic Acid that helps protect small wounds or breakouts from infection.

Madecassol Ointment (마데카솔 연고)
Another pharmacy classic, made with Centella Asiatica. Great for minor burns, scars, and irritation — the kind of product you’ll always find in a Korean medicine cabinet.

But Jeju in October still hits like summer. Sharing a few snaps from our week there before reality (and the drizzle) in Seoul kicked back in
