I am not OK! Stephen Colbert and team have supported our work with young people for years! From immersive all day field trips to professional workshops on writing, set design, editing - they are directly responsible for our youth run program “The Afternoon Show” becoming a reality for my production partner and I and our team of young people at the Lower Eastside Girls Club.
Here’s a few photos over the years along with our top five from 2020 which is a lot to see in retrospective.
So many thoughts on this situation. Things that make you go hmmmm…

Beautiful VIBEZ with the radio fam! Some HEAVY HITTERS in the building - my WBAI brethern the LEGENDARY Dj Flame PLEASE look her up she was a hip hop TRAILBLAZER with the group Mercedes Ladies and of course the amazing multi talented - don’t trust a DJ who caint dance!!!!
Make sure to visit the Rep Cafe it’s an important local spot with deep musical roots.

Very sad to hear of the legendary Hotel Oloffson in Port Au Prince being burnt to the ground. A great loss!
A wondrous space for music and culture and home base for the racine band RAM - the creaky old hotel built in the 1886 was a special place for creatives worldwide.
2012 at on the porch Hotel Oloffson, the great musician Sanba Zao, photos of the grounds and with dance great Vivienne Gaulthier.
One thing you will never destroy is the greatness of the Haitian culture and its people. 🇭🇹💔🙏🏼
