Rodrigo Otazu was born in Argentina and left home with a dream at the age of 18 to travel around the world. When he was living in Sydney he made a huge pearl necklace for his mother, but first caught the attention of the fashion world appearing in the Australian magazine Vogue. Then he travelled to Europe to work on his own new dreams based from Amsterdam. He went to Paris to collaborate with the biggest names in the fashion world. His first couture show with Christian Lacroix was the first one to join force to shine on the catwalk in Paris. Other collaborations were with Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier and the talented Dutch duo Viktor & Rolf.
Rodrigo Otazu designs have been offered to international celebrities and fashionistas. Initial Rodrigo's designs, representing prêt-à -porter collections of the most de luxe fashion jewelry, created a signature style for the brand Rodrigo New York. Shortly after the launch of Otazu jewelry, Otazu Sterling Silver and Unique “one of” diamond collection were introduced.
Rodrigo expanded with ground breaking couture collections and limited editions of show pieces. This resulted in creating a prime line, couture collection. On the catwalks, Rodrigo's designs have been worn by international models like Lily Cole and Erin O’Conner, taking the breath of the audience by using the most spectacular themes and showing at most unique locations.

Rodrigo Otazu today lives in New York City where his brand Rodrigo New York has launched a line in diamonds with ALINK which is sold through the best shops in the USA and his very exiting new technics and inspirations. Working with new technology and using the new touch of technology to produce something new, strong and full of power and strength.
Rodrigo Otazu has been working proudly with Swarovski crystals for the last 15 years and loves the trend of colours and new styles that crystals bring into his work. Always innovating and improving. Rodrigo's creations are now available in more than 30 countries, including key cities like Moscow, New York, London, Milan, Dubai, Sydney and Tokyo. Opening his first shop in USA and Japan.
