Landfill

Landfill Landfill chronicles and redistributes ephemera generated by socially engaged artworks.

Landfill is an online archive, quarterly subscription service, and print journal that studies socially engaged artworks by way of the surplus materials they produce. Through images and short texts, the Archive turns leftover ephemera into points of entry for past projects. The Quarterly redistributes selected objects, which the Journal contextualizes through essays and interviews. In each of its three parts, Landfill aims to produce an aggregate history as complex as the projects it records.

New today on the Archive: stress balls from MyNerva, Piero Passacantando's nomadic research center devoted to exploring corporate structures. Get yours as part of Issue 4, forthcoming this month.

To cultivate introspection and connection in a space known for engendering anxiety and detachment, MyNerva variously took the form of an office party, corporate retreat, and collaborative brainstorming session.

This Saturday: a symposium on the terms of engagement within social practices. Looking forward to hearing from Sally Szwed, Marc Herbst, and others:
