Just picked one of these up and it really makes a noticeable difference in the sound of the amps you plug into it. In general, when you find the right setting, the amp becomes less compressed and strident. I found that vintage amps tend to sound better around 110v and newer amps benefit from making sure that they’re running at 120v and not higher. Voltage in NYC is crazy.
