💍 MAYBE YOU’VE ALREADY MET YOUR HUSBAND… YOU JUST DON’T KNOW IT YET. ❤️

She met her husband in Harlem—but their love story didn’t begin the first time they met.

The first time, they crossed paths at Red Rooster. He introduced himself, they said hello, and that was it.

A few years later, they ran into each other again.

Then they crossed paths again.

This time, she decided she wasn’t going to leave it up to chance.

“If you never ask the question, you’ll never know.”

She knew there was an attraction. She knew there was interest. And instead of waiting for him to make every move, she let him know she was interested too.

Sometimes love requires taking a chance.

Today, they’ve been married for four years. 💍

She describes her husband as smart, funny, caring, kind—and yes, there was definitely a physical attraction too.

But one of the biggest lessons she’s learned about marriage is this:

Let people be who they are.

Marriage doesn’t have to follow someone else’s traditional expectations. Your relationship can be built around what works for the two people in it.

“Your marriage is what you want it to be.”

Maybe the person you’re meant to build a life with isn’t a stranger.

Maybe you’ve already met them.

Maybe the timing just hasn’t happened yet. 👀❤️

Do you believe some people meet before the timing is right?

It’s how someone feels when they leave your chair.
It’s the confidence they carry into their special moment.
It’s the encouragement they remember long after the makeup comes off.

Part 3: For the people watching us who speak Spanish, I think this content is also a way to encourage awareness among young couples, to remind young couples to still believe in love, right?

It’s important not to give up on the person you chose. Be happy.

Life is meant to be enjoyed. We came here to live, to eat good food, to walk around, to enjoy ourselves, to meet people, and to be happy.

Be happy. Love each other very much and take good care of each other.

Thank you so much, and pura vida from Costa Rica! Just a couple of Ticos in New York, Ticos enjoying New York!

My message would be this: when you meet someone, give that person the chance not to be perfect. Give yourself the chance to stop looking for perfection.

If Juliana had been choosing, or if you asked the Juliana from ten years ago, I was looking for so much perfection in other people, and even in myself.

So give yourself the chance to really get to know someone. Don’t get bored after a year. Don’t expect that person to be perfect, and you can build such a beautiful relationship together.

We’ve been together for six, almost seven years, and we have such a great relationship. But that’s because we get along well and we accept things about each other, and that is key.

Don’t think the other person has to be perfect. It’s not about idealizing them either. It’s about taking the time to truly get to know someone and creating something beautiful together for the rest of your lives.

If you take that advice and focus on creating something beautiful together, you’ll thank me later.

Sending you all our best!

🇨🇷 “DO YOU WANT KIDS?” ❤️ Part 2

When Bride On The Block’s NiFlame asked this couple from Costa Rica about having children, their answer was honest:

“We don’t know yet.”

They shared concerns about the rising cost of living, childcare, returning to work after pregnancy and whether the world feels as safe as it once did.

For now, their family includes their two dogs, and they are still deciding what parenthood might look like for them.

NiFlame offered reassurance.

“God will provide, with or without a child.”

And although they are not planning for children right now, they shared that if a child becomes part of their future, they believe they would be happy and embrace parenthood with love.

Sometimes the most meaningful conversations are the ones without a perfect answer.

From Costa Rica to the Block, we’re talking about love, relationships, family and the real decisions couples are navigating today. 🌎🎤

🇨🇷 HE KNEW SHE WAS THE ONE FROM DAY ONE. 💍❤️

For this couple from Costa Rica, it was love at first sight.

He first saw his future wife when she came in for an interview at the company where they both worked, and from that very first day, he believed she was the one.

After seeing her, he sent her a message on Instagram.

They started talking, went on a date, and seven years later, they are still building their life together.

When Bride On The Block asked how he knew she was the right person, he shared that when you find someone you can trust, someone who makes life feel easy, and someone you can truly see beside you in the future, you know you have found your partner for life.

Even without the wedding ring or official ceremony, he already considers her his wife.

After seven years together, they are now planning to celebrate their wedding in February 2027. 💒

Sometimes love does not need years to reveal itself.

Sometimes you know from day one.

From Costa Rica to the Block, every block has a love story. 🌎🎤

🇵🇹 FASHION, INDEPENDENCE & LOVE — STRAIGHT FROM PORTUGAL. 💍👠

Bride On The Block’s NiFlame interviewed the owner of while she was visiting New York on an international fashion trip. This Portuguese boutique owner shared how travel inspires her business, her personal style and the future of her store.

A nurse by profession and an entrepreneur by passion, she followed in her mother’s footsteps in fashion before opening a store of her own.

When I asked what love means, her answer was simple:

“Love brings you peace and safety.” 👌

And when it comes to marriage? She doesn’t dream of a huge wedding. Something small, simple, intimate and surrounded by family feels just right.

Her story is also rooted in something she says is deeply connected to her Portuguese upbringing: independence.

From Portugal to New York, every block has a story. 🌍🎤

HOW DID 9/11 CHANGE THE WAY YOU SEE HUMANITY, LOVE AND COMMUNITY? 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, that question goes beyond where you were. It asks how that day shaped the way you live, serve others and show up for your community.

While covering the 25th anniversary of 9/11 in New York City, I interviewed a woman who was there as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, sharing a message of hope, comfort and faith with people remembering one of the most painful days in our nation’s history.

When I asked where she was on September 11, 2001, she remembered being a high school student on Long Island, New York.

Shortly after the attacks, an announcement came over the school’s PA system telling students to pack their bags and go home.

“We were all in a panic. It was a very fearful and anxious time. We grabbed our bags, uncertain of what was really going on, but we knew that there was a major impact in the city.”

Twenty-five years later, I asked how that experience shaped her views on humanity, love and community.

For her, the answer was about living with purpose and bringing encouragement to people who may still be hurting.

“When you live through and go through something as traumatic as 9/11, a lot of people are brokenhearted.”

On a day she described as sobering and emotional, she shared a Bible verse that reflects the message she came to offer:

Psalm 34:18: Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted.

“Even though it’s a heartbreaking memory, we know that he’s close to us, and there’s a better future and a promise ahead for all of us.”

Twenty-five years later, the question is not only “Where were you?”

It is also:

How did September 11 change the way you love, serve and care for the people around you?

Humanity. Love. Community. Faith. Hope.
