As socialism comes out of the closet and, in America, is no longer considered a dirty work, I was proud to participate in this art exhibition in which the convergence of art, culture, commerce, economics and politics converged. After all, they are all cousins - be they civil or not.

Such wonderful news. Let's just hope that the cure is not only available to rich, white men. And, by the way, why is this not a headline on every news outlet?

I often take my creative cues from interior design. For the last few years, while mid-sixties modern and empty room have masqueraded as minimalism, I have viewed as a hoax. Less is not always more. And, there is comfort in objects that create a world more colorful, more vibrant - dare I say more kind than the minimalism provides. And, brands are like artifacts, surrounding us and creating worlds. While minimalism had its day, it was often favored by those who misunderstood it. I am delighted that curated complexity is back. Long live the serif. Long live globalist juxtaposition. For me, minimalism has always been an excuse for nothing left to lose. Thank god it's over.

Drawing upon her own experience, she created a truly culturally-created brand - a brand that has found favor across categories and continents with a positive message and imagery that is no less than art. Your rights when a United flight is delayed or cancelled | MileCards.com
How sad that the U.S. can no longer boast a world class airline. #United Airlines sucks. How the Star Alliance allowed them in is anybody's guess.
They deliberately don't make you aware of the following. If you are unlucky enough to have to fly this airline, at least be prepared with the following facts. This is further proof that
quality has become one of the least important elements of branding. Otherwise, this pathetic airline would be out of business. Lufthansa,, Air France and other Alliance members , do you really want to claim this as a sister partner. They make you look bad.
Maybe you don't care and rather than rising to your standards, your plans are to lower yourselves to theirs?
Delayed flights are incredibly frustrating, leaving you at the mercy of the airline when they strike. If you haven't suffered through a bunch of them, you

For reasons unknown, although probably related to tax fraud allegations in Ireland, Apple's European Operations will be moving to London. If that is the case, they must either be hoping for and/or have information that leads them to believe that the EU will disintegrate. Otherwise, they would be risking tariffs in a far larger EU market. Or, maybe it's because Americans tend to be limited to one language. In either case, were I to pick a location that scream "hip", within Europe, that would certainly mean Berlin not London. London as a brand is a bit passed. Very '90s and early 2000's. I am disheartened to know that Apple, an American company (supposedly) with production in China and headquarters in Ireland for tax evasion purposes, has now chosen London - a move that makes no sense either from a profit or branding perspective given the option of Berlin. Frankly, in this current environment, I put the intelligence of large corporations far ahead of political predictions. It just seems that Apple is either predicting or encouraging the dissolution of the EU. London is quaint compared to Berlin. Apple could have justified this the move to London tend years ago. However, I have the distinct feeling that the company knows a lot more than we thing - and, what they think they know makes me sad. The EU must survive or Europe becomes nothing but a tourist destination, vulnerable to Putin - all with the endorsement of the United States.

The same public relations firm, #Ketchum, that was on President George W Bush's payroll, overturned an election in central America, tricks the world into thinking Waterford is Irish, and made Putin made Man of The Year , among other atrocities, was the firm that defended Barnum and Baily's torture of elephants. Funny, none of their biographies or client references mention this. The question: What is the difference between public relations/communications/crisis management and propaganda? Was it marketing or lies that resulted in President-Elect Trump - or Brexit? Do PR agencies have an obligation to serve any immoral cause or brand with a heartbeat and a dime? If they do, perhaps propaganda is the wrong word for them. There's another word that begins with a P that is more fitting.

Avon headquarters leaves the US
Avon leaving the United States? After a series of managerial blunders, Avon seems to have forgotten that being American is part of it's brand DNA. Whether true or not, Americans are known to be entrepreneurs which is the fundamental premise of Avon. And, now that it's not part of Brexit, the potential complication of having formulae that are only compliant in one relatively small country are daunting. This was not a brilliant move. In addition, with R&D remaining in the United States, the connection between marketing and will be severed discouraging innovation. Also, when it comes to media, the U.K. is a veritable island when it comes to large buys. In fact, rules regarding retouching are different in the UK than the rest of Europe. So, the brand may actually look "British" - not a bad thing - but certainly not something that is globally appealing. Coty has not left for the UK - yet. However, with the future of the EU still up in the air and access to investment still unclear, this may be a signal that beauty does not necessarily accompany brains.
As of January 2017 the direct-sales beauty company known as Avon Products will operate it global business from offices in the UK. And just this month, Avon announced the appointment of a new CFO.

I actually had a television program based upon my book. I interviewed top fashion designers on the cultural trends influencing their work and introduced the topic of ethics. I reached 30 million viewers. While I can't take full credit, it may be why models in many fashion weeks must be height/weight proportionate lest the designer be charged with child abuse.

5 Fashion Week Trends To Watch
Fashion is about change. Thank god. We are in one of fashion moments that in ten years we are bound to regret. Not one of these trends addresses the inherent beauty of the female form. I wish we could fast forward to the next trends - although they may be worse. And, for the life of me, I don't know on the men's side whether I should buy trousers that are narrow and look better on a guy my height or go with Gumby pants that will make me look 2 foot hight. The magazines continue to show sleek, very expensive suits with narrow legs while the runways are featuring bozo tourers. If I invest in a suit this fall, do I risk look an ump lump or do I risk being out of style. I find all the looks to look derivative and wonder if they are teaching originality anymore.
New York, check. London, check. Milan, Check. With Paris Fashion Week on our heels, several Spring 2017 trends have already solidified themselves on the fashion ‘to-watch’ list. The multitude of runway shows Fashion Week presents us with not only fuels every woman’s fashion-obsession, but it also gi...

Making the Case for Controversial Marketing: 5 Questions to Answer | WordStream
this makes a lot of sense. I have been slow on my analysis of Apple. But, the only positive controversy they have used was their famous 1984 ad and the dancing silhouettes. Ever since then, it has been down hill.
Controversial marketing campaigns have the power to break through the noise and drive tons of attention, but how do you convince your boss or client to take the leap? Here's how.

OK, so there is one big problem with the iPhone 7’s lack of a headphone jack
Does Apple even care about what their consumers want. It's a pretty risky move. And, one I would say is stupid given recent publicity. It also implies that this popular model is really only going to be "the latest" for a year. How does Apple get away with this? there are people who stream music or videos for hours at a time, and they’re used to being able to charge their iPhones while they do. For these users, the lack of separate audio and power ports does indeed pose a problem; streaming music while you’re at your desk or traveling and not being able to charge your phone while you do is clearly a step backwards.
Apple’s big iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus unveiling is officially slated for Wednesday, September 7th, and Apple fans around the world are giddy with excitement. Sure, they would be even more ex…

iPhone 7 users report hissing sounds - The Express Tribune
As I assemble a list of consumer-unfriendly marketing positions - hopefully in chronological order, I hope to demonstrate how technology alone does not a brand make. Apple, arguably, one of the most strategic brands in recent history has lost site of consumers and forced their will upon them. My hope is to demonstrate that even once beloved brands can experienced accelerated life cycles and decline in rapid order. Apple, perceived as an American company is sort of Irish, if not totally Irish and is embroiled in a tax dispute. It is only designed, supposedly, in the USA and is made in China opening the door to new entrants with strong offerings such as Samsung. And, it's cool factor - not to mention dependency has come into question. I will chronicle the decline of a great brand and the bleak future that I anticipate. I am not picking on them although the A in Apple is rapidly coming to represent the Arrogance in their marketing and customer satisfaction. This post is only the first.
Reports are surfacing that the new iPhone 7 makes a hissing sound whenever it’s under intense strain
