😲 My mother-in-law ruined our daughter’s little kitchen. I decided to teach her a good lesson, and here's what I did.
My daughter Alice, who is only five years old, loves spending time with me in the kitchen. Every time I prepare a dish, she always comes to watch every step. To allow her to express her passion, we decided to give her her own little kitchen, a space where she could create her own little recipes, like the fruit salads she loves.
When she discovered her new kitchen, she was overjoyed. Every morning, I would cut up fruit that she would mix and serve with joy. She felt like a real chef in her own little kitchen.
However, there was one person who did not approve of this idea: my mother-in-law. She believed that by having unlimited access to snacks, Alice would end up eating excessively.
I explained to her that we were managing the situation and that our goal was to teach Alice how to eat in a balanced way. But despite my explanations, my mother-in-law kept criticizing our approach.
One evening, she was supposed to watch Alice for a few hours. When I came home, I heard crying coming from the kitchen. I rushed over to see what was happening.
To my horror, Alice's kitchen was completely destroyed. Her little utensils were scattered everywhere, and her mini kitchen was in pieces. Alice was kneeling among the debris, crying.
My husband, furious, went to see his mother to demand an explanation. She admitted to having destroyed Alice’s kitchen “for her own good.” So, I decided to teach her a good lesson, and here’s what I did.
