Rain or Shine Studios

Rain or Shine Studios A residential shooting space, designed with the photographer and filmmaker in mind... In 2012 the house was hit by super storm Sandy.

In 1940, during a full moon high tide, a man named Anthony Annelli pulled a barge on to the shores of Shell Bank Channel in Brooklyn. Over the course of several decades he built a home and what is now Rain or Shine Studios and Event Space. We made the best out of an unfortunate situation and redesigned with the photographer in mind. The first floor is 1000 square feet of open space appointed with

photo friendly furniture and props that can be arranged to fit the needs of any production. The second floor offers an additional 750 square feet of space perfect for production teams, vanities or wardrobe departments. It is equipped with iron, ironing board, steamer, lighted mirrors and several desk spaces. The house is set on an 8,000 square foot, fenced in, waterfront lot with great views of Shell Bank Channel. The property is organically landscaped with fruit trees, indigenous gardens, grape vines, a fire pit and water access. The light is beautiful sunrise to sunset. Located just 10 miles from JFK Airport and 20 miles from Midtown Manhattan; Rain or Shine Studios is the closest “getaway” in New York.
