Despite the Administration's tariff policies, a number of the automakers have been adding factories and assembly centers in the U.S. which takes years to build.

Toyota has maintained a strategy to manufacture its vehicles where it's sold and as Sonia Azad found out - the vehicles are coming off the assembly lines in record numbers.

Toyota employs nearly 50,000 people working in 11 plants in the U.S. Since 2018, Toyota has invested $25 billion in American manufacturing and another $28.5 billion to support its growing network of domestic suppliers.

Over 50 percent of vehicles sold in the U.S. are assembled here and nearly 80 percent of vehicles Toyota sells in the U.S. are assembled in North America.

Gucci normally stages its shows in Milan, but like the main fashion houses, the Italian luxury brand chooses locations around the world to show off its cruise collections - that is the shows in between the main spring and autumn seasons. The big-budget runway show event highlighted the first cruise collection by Sabato De Sarno, who was named Gucci's creative director last year and debuted his featured a few checked jackets with a bit of British flairs, though some other designs were a much more true Gucci. subtle tribute. Dresses and coats covered with squares made of a shimmering bead fringe were a reference to Scottish plaids.

Bader Content Studios Europe was invited to be on hand and learned the storied fashion house has a fascinating historical tie to the UK. Its legendary founder, Guccio Gucci, once worked as a bellhop at the Savoy, the center of luxury in London, over a century ago.

Brand experts told us Guccio took inspiration from that experience when he opened his first store in Florence back in 1921 to sell luggage.

Among the star-studded crowd in the front row were actors Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott, alongside music icons Dua Lipa and Solange Knowles. Also in the front row were Salma Hayek and her husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, who is chair and CEO of Kering, Gucci’s parent company.

The Tate Modern is currently hosting an exhibition dedicated to the multidisciplinary work of Yoko Ono, the wife and creative partner of the late Beatle John Lennon. The wing includes installations, films, scores, music, and photography, the monumental showcase spans seven decades of her artistic evolution. It runs until September1 2024.

Kering hopes this showing will help revive sales at its flagship brand which suffered a sales decline.

Bader Media was invited to the show in Milan.

The runway along with the Hollywood crowd that turned out to see what is next, saw a new appreciation of beauty, creating a foundation of a wide scale reset for the French group's core label - which would be the key to creating buzz and reigniting sales, even if the new designs won't reach stores until early next year.

Thomas Chauvet, analyst with Citi, said the first look of De Sarno's vision for the brand indicated "a clear evolution from prior brand aesthetics, likely to attract a slightly older demographic and command higher price points."

Models filed down a darkened, concrete runway at Gucci's headquarters, which was a former aircraft factory, highlighting shorts paired with suit jackets, strapless mini-dresses, trim sweatshirts and tank tops with plunging necklines. The show was moved indoors after a threat of rain.
One of fashion's biggest success stories in recent years, Gucci has fallen behind rivals like LVMH-owned Louis Vuitton and Dior that capitalized on a strong post-pandemic desire for luxury goods.

Since parting ways last November with previous creative director Alessandro Michele, whose spirited, gender-neutral styles were credited with huge sales and profits to match in a four year period, Kering has been planning a new foundation for the brand's reset with more elevated and timeless looks.

Gucci's long-time CEO Marco Bizzarri is set to depart the company after this show, to be replaced by managing director Jean-Francois Palus - Kering CEO and Chairman Francois-Henri Pinault's right-hand man - for a short transitional period.

RISE - THE SIYA KOLISI STORY - August 2023 - New York City

We take a look back at the recent Tribeca Film Festival where NYC VIBE greeted the filmmakers, writers, director and wife of the captain of the Springboks South African Rugby team that were thrilled to introduce their just finished movie highlighting Siya Kolisi and his foundation’s impact on the world’s stage.

With the 2023 Rugby World Cup Championships about to start in France and Kolisi back in action after an injury this summer, the rugby community will be focused on the talented team about to show the world who they are.

It is said that leaders are born out of many circumstances, including the need to grow up fast. Siya Kolisi had no other choice in the harsh challenges of his upbringing. Trials and tribulations gave way to a leader, and fittingly, the first Black captain of the South Africa national rugby union team. We hear from the man himself alongside family, friends, teammates, and more, as they weave together the grand tale of just who and what makes the Springboks legend so incomparable.

At times the life of Siya jumps off the screen like a fairy tale, with challenges external and internal paving the path for a success story that encapsulates perseverance. A singular story yet one that rings universal in its themes of overcoming, community, passion, and forgiveness. All this comes alongside stunning footage and intimate reveals from the Springboks’ quest to capture their record-tying third Rugby World Cup.

This story is just beginning to be written - as you will see.

A Night Under the Stars at the Lang Lang Music Foundation Summer Concert

August 2023 - Water Mill, NY:

Under a sky full of stars, shining a bright glow directed towards the musical stars of tomorrow….on stage before an audience the students offered an inspirational performance for the patrons and supporters of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation in the Hamptons.

Chinese born pianist Lang Lang is an international superstar, who tours the world with more than 120 performances each year and performs with the world’s top orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the Vienna Philharmonic, which make Lang Lang one of the most desired music stars of our times.

If one word applies to Lang Lang, to the musician, to the man, to his worldview, to those who come into contact with him, it is “inspiration”. It resounds like a musical motif through his life and career. He inspires millions with his open-hearted, emotive playing, whether it be in intimate recitals or on the grandest of stages ..

Yet he never forgets what first inspired, and continues to inspire him. Great artists, above all the great composers – Liszt, Chopin and the others – whose music he now delights in bringing to others.

As a child - the joy and excitement of discovering music stays with him and propels him to what he calls “his second career”, bringing music into the lives of children around the world, both through his work for the United Nations and through his own Lang Lang International Music Foundation.

As he inspires, he is inspired. As he is inspired, he inspires others. It is this quality, perhaps, that led the New Yorker to call him “the world’s ambassador of the keyboard”.

On this glorious night, hosted by Christopher Burch, the Lang Lang Music Foundation Chairman, it was a night to meet the Young Scholars and enjoy their performances and to take in what they have learned in their young careers.

The name Lang Lang means ‘brilliance of the sky - but on this night, it was the brilliance of the keyboard on the ground that demonstrated the power of music.

‘Oppenheimer’ U.S. Premiere Cancels Red Carpet Amid SAG-AFTRA Strike - London & Paris Coverage

July 2023 - London, UK & Paris, France - Universal Pictures canceled the upcoming red carpet at the U.S premiere of Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” amid the SAG-AFTRA strike. Just prior, the cast gathered in London and Paris for the Europe premiere - Bader Studios Europe covered both events to talk with the actors and producers about the strike and this movie being the last one promoted.

“Oppenheimer” cast members, Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon and Emily Blunt were in London for the premiere but did not attend the screening of the film. Nolan informed the audience that his actors left the premiere to start making picket signs for the strike. The premiere’s red carpet actually started an hour earlier so that cast members could attend to promote the movie before the actors' strike began.

Damon said: “We gave the strike authorization. We voted 98% to 2% to do that because we know our leadership has our best interest at heart.”

Emily Blunt told Variety: “Obviously we stand with all of the actors and at whatever point it’s called, we’re going to be going home and standing together through it because I want everyone to get a fair deal.”

The story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the development of the atomic bomb.

“Oppenheimer” opens in theaters nationwide July 21.

‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ Off to Slow Box Office Start

July 2023 - Los Angeles, CA:

The fifth “Indiana Jones” film might have trouble making a profit and reaching its box-office destiny.

Disney’s "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" opened the July 4 Weekend holiday box office with a strong start that soon faded, bringing in a meager $60 million according to estimates from measurement firm Comscore.

The long-anticipated sequel matched the low end of already guarded projections in the $60-million to $65-million range in the U.S. while internationally, the action film grossed $70 million for a global total of $130 million, according to Disney studio estimates. This is a real issue for the franchise, which has a reported budget of $300 million.

Directed by James Mangold, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” stars 80 year old Harrison Ford in his final performance as Indy, the heroic archaeologist on a daring mission to capture a precious artifact. Among the supporting cast of the film include Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Ethann Isidore and Mads Mikkelsen.

This latest installment of the “Indiana Jones” franchise, which made its world premiere at the recent Cannes Film Festival received a 68% rating on review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes and an average B-plus grade from audiences polled by CinemaScore.

Bader Studios Hollywood was on the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere talking with Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destin director James Mangold, with Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel producing. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serve as executive producers. John Williams, who has scored each Indy adventure since the original Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981, once again composed the score.
