AFRICAN UNION DAY 2026
May 25, 2026

Today we remember 1963 — when 32 African leaders met in Addis Ababa and chose unity over division. They lit a fire. We must keep it burning.

AU Theme 2026:
_“Assuring Sustainable Water Availability and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063.”_
Because without clean water, there is no health. No education. No peace. No future.

MESSAGE TO THE YOUTH:
Africa is young. You are not just the future — you are the _now_.

The founders gave us political independence. Our job is to deliver economic freedom, clean water, and lasting peace.

UN Security Council Resolution 2250 said it: Youth are not victims of conflict. We are architects of peace.

So WAKE UP.
See the time we’re in.
Log off excuses. Log into purpose.

Whether you’re in Accra, Nairobi, or Brooklyn — Africa needs your skill, your voice, your investment.
Don’t just celebrate Africa Day. Build Africa, daily.

We must unite now, or perish.
( Dr Kwame Nkrumah)
Happy African Union Day.
