🍲Ingredients:
200 ml (0.85 cup) water (lukewarm)
25g (2 tbsp) sugar
3g (1 tsp) yeast (instant or active dry)
300g (2 cups) bread flour or wheat flour
3g (1/2 tsp) salt
20g (2 tbsp) olive oil
📝Directions:
1️⃣ Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine lukewarm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy, indicating the yeast is activated.
2️⃣ Add Dry Ingredients: Add the flour and salt to the yeast mixture.
3️⃣ Mix: Use a spatula or wooden spoon to stir everything together until a shaggy, sticky dough forms. It doesn’t need to be smooth—just ensure all the flour is incorporated.
4️⃣ Add Oil: Pour in the olive oil and mix until it is mostly absorbed into the dough.
5️⃣ First Rise: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a damp kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
6️⃣ Shape the Dough: Gently punch down the risen dough to release air bubbles. Divide it into three equal portions and shape each into a rough log.
7️⃣ Prepare Loaf Pan: Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with oil or line it with parchment paper.
8️⃣ Place Dough in Pan: Arrange the three dough logs side by side in the pan.
9️⃣ Second Rise: Cover again and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes, until it puffs up and nearly reaches the top of the pan.
