We volunteered to help our community... then discovered someone was trying to profit from our work. 😲

We set out to clear an overgrown path, remove dangerous brambles, and make the area safer for children, pets, and everyone who uses it. But after receiving an email from a confused neighbor, we learned that someone had allegedly been asking people for money for work we were doing completely free of charge.

Despite that disappointing discovery, this story has a positive side. So many incredible neighbors stopped by with kind words, cups of tea, and encouragement, reminding us that genuine community spirit is far stronger than the actions of a few.
